Today We Say Goodbye

The day has finally come to bid my dear sweet mother-in-law goodbye.  She will be so greatly missed and our lives will never be the same!  I could not have asked for a better MIL.  She always treated me as if I was her daughter instead of a DIL.  I'm really going to miss some of the silly things she would do.  Hold your loved one close this holiday season and let them know how much they mean to you!!  We love you Mom!!!!

My Therapy

Hi everyone!!  Today I'm going to show a card that I have been working on to keep my mind off the not so good stuff this week.  I have used Mo's "Hanging the Star" image and OMGosh...I just love this little cutie!  She almost looks like one of the Who's from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.  LOVE IT!!!  Here's my card....
Cute huh!?!  Of course she has been colored with Copics but on this one I also used some Prisma pencils on her hair.  For the star under my rose I covered it with red seed beads and then used some distress ink to darken where the white star showed through.  I have used my G45 Christmas Past paper pad and a MS holly punch.  The sentiment is from TLC Creations and they have the most awesome word art!!!

Copics used:
Skin - E000, E00, E13, E21 and R20
Jumper - R30, R32, R35, R37, R39
Star - Y32, Y35, Y38
Hair - E15, E17, E18

As you can see I went a little distress ink crazy.  I just love that stuff!  :)

I am also entering this card into the following challenges....

Cooking It Up With Katie - Layer Me A Red Christmas
The Pixie Cottage - Sparkle and Shine

Thank you for stopping by today!!!

Have a good one!

Wouldn't you just love to have this!?!  I know I sure would!!!  :)  Here's the card that I have created for round one - WOW (white on white)....

It's Winter at Phindy's Place

Hi everyone!!  Sorry I am late with my post this morning.  Life has been a little crazy.  As some of you already know my MIL passed away on Wednesday and it has been very difficult dealing with it along with the hustle and bustle of the holidays so I hope you will forgive me!

Our challenge at Phindy's Place today is "Winter".  Not too tough huh!?!  As a matter of fact we woke up to another inch of snow on the ground this morning.  It's looking like we're going to have another heavy snow year.  Oh...back on track!!!  :)  For this challenge I have used Phindy's new image called "Snow Glory".  This is a perfect image for this challenge.  Here's my card...
I have used the sketch from last weeks Friday Sketchers and just thought it was perfect for this image.  My ski's look like they clash but in reality they really don't.  I had to use my light box because it has been so dreary here lately.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will check out what the rest of the DT has created for this challenge.  Those girls have got some talent!!!  Hope to see you at Phindy's Place this week!!

Have a good one!!

Make sure you read to the very end as I am offering a prize here on my blog for everyone who leaves a comment.  Okay....I could be selfish and say that you have to follow me too but I won't do that although I would love it if you did!!!  :)  Okay...just a mini plug for me!  Okay, on to my project.  I have used this adorable stamp called "Starry Night"......
Isn't this just the cutest!?!  I have stamped my image onto this little onesie and then colored it with my Copics.  I have used some puffy paint on the fur of the hat and the ear muffs.  I have also used some Viva Decor Glitter Gel for the snow and it looks so awesome!  It took me forever to gather up the nerve to actually put stamp to material!!  I was having some serious anxiety attacks!!!  LOL!!

I have had a few of you ask if it is washable and yes....it should be washable.  I'm going to wash it today to see if the ink runs at all.  I used Memento ink to stamp my image and then used my iron (set to cotton) and heat set it.  I did handwash another onesie that I had heatset and the ink stayed on.  From what I've heard the Copics are washable and the 3D gel was washable too.  I'll let you know after I wash it!!  :)  OMGosh...now I'm holding my breath again!!!  :)

So...what do you think!?!  Leave me a comment and I will give the winner a $10 gift certificate to Phindy's Place!!
Phindy has some really awesome digi images!!  I will have my hubby draw a name from the hat for the winner and it will be posted here on Tuesday December 7th so check back because you don't want to miss out if your the winner do you!?!  :)

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have enjoyed our Holiday Blog Hop!!!

**UPDATE**
After washing I did have some color fading on my onesie and I guess you have to use cotton socks (my DIL couldn't find any) because I had some serious yellow bleeding on them.  Everything else stayed put.  For no longer than what they are in them I think it will hold up.

This is stamped with Memento ink and then heat set.
I should have set up my photo box because our day is so gloomy here today that the lighting on this picture isn't the greatest.

Have a good one!!

Its a Frugal Freebie at Phindy's Place

Hi everyone!  It's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place and this week we would like for you to use one of those many FABULOUS freebies that Phindy has so graciously given us.  If you don't have one you can always join our group at PCP and grab one.

For this challenge I have used the image "Join the Party" and have turned it into a Christmas image.  Well....kinda!!  Here's my card for this challenge....
I really had some mojo issues when I completed this card so of course...I don't care for it.  It feels to busy to me but I love this adorable image!!

I have used some of my Tonertex glitter around the glass and used one of my new ticket sentiments from Whimsy Stamps and I heat embossed it.

Thank you for stopping by today and make sure you hop on over to Phindy's Place and see what the rest of the DT has done with this challenge.  Great inspiration!!  Hope to see you for our new challenge at Phindy's Place!!!

Have a good one!!  :)

I think this image is perfect for those From our House to Yours cards.  It's just too cute!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my card today.  We would really love it if you would join us at Copic Challenge Corner on Simply Scrapping Crafts.

Hi everyone!  Today I have a little project (don't laugh because I suck at them) that I created for the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge.  The challenge was Anything Christmas (but not a card).  I used this darling little digi called "Edens 2nd Christmas" and she is absolutely adorable!!  Here's the banner that I created for this challenge...
This is the very first time I have created a banner so I'm not overly thrilled with it!!  It just seems to blah to me.  Sorry for the crappy picture but we are having a snow storm and the light is awful!!

Show Us Your Metal

My card won top 3 at The Pixie Cottage!!!  WooHoo!

Hey everyone!!  I'm writing this post while in a turkey coma so please forgive me any typing errors!!  :)

This week at Phindy's Place we are challenging you to use metal on your cards.  Okay....that one was a little difficult for me because I really don't have any metal and then I remembered that my friend Annika sent me some charms and stuff so I was hoping that I could find something to match my card and with a little altering...I did it!!  :)

For this card I have used Phindy's new image called "Cosy Cottage" and oh my....when I saw this image I was so inspired that I couldn't hardly wait to color it!!  This has got to be one of my favorite images evah!!  If you haven't check out Phindy's blog lately you really must.  She is cranking out some BEAUTIFUL Christmas images!!  Here's my card for this challenge....
Doesn't this just make the most amazing Christmas card image!?!  I love it!!!!

Copic's Used:
House and walkway - E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47 and E49
Trees - YG63, YG67 and G40
Lighted windows - Y32 and Y35

I've used lots of Diamond Stickles on this image and also used Tonertex foil and glitter on the Christmas wreath and the lights on the pine tree.  It looks so awesome IRL!!!  Almost like the lights are really twinkling!!!  I have used the Tonertex foils on the my snowflakes from Maya Road and used some metal bead findings and just smooshed them down to create a smaller snowflake for the center.  They look very pretty!  The background is done with Prisma's and Gamsol.

My DP is from the Jovial Collection by Basic Grey and it has been distressed with my Zutter Distrezz-it-All.  Totally love that thing!!!  My ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and I have hand tied my double bow using the bow easy method without the bow easy.  I still haven't found that stupid thing!!!  :)

Thank you for stopping by today and make sure you stop by the Phindy's Place Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has done.  FABULOUS!!!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge - Christmas (x is for x-mas)
The Pixie Cottage - Let it snow

Have a good one!!!

Copics Plus

Hi everyone!!  Its Wednesday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Simply Scrapping Crafts Copic Challenge Corner!!  WooHoo!!  :)  This week our challenge for you is to use another coloring medium with your Copics.  Fun huh!?!

For this challenge I have used one of my new Bildmalarna exclusive stamp club stamps from Bilmalarna.com .  OMGosh...you wouldn't believe how cute these stamps are!!  I just love each and every one of them!!  Here's my card....
It's little Tossa just the cutest!!  For this card I have colored the image with Copics and then I used Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to add some shading and the background to my image.  I have used Prisma's on my background before but was never brave enough to try it on my image!!  For this one I have used them on the peach color on her dress to add the shading.  It really does look awesome and my have to use this technique a little more often!!!  I have also used my new Tonertex foil and glitter on her dress and buttons.  WOW....that stuff is AWESOME!!!  I also used the foil on the snowflake under my rose.  Seriously people, you have got to get some of this stuff.  The glitter even stays put!!!  LOVE IT!!!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will join us at Copic Challenge Corner and show us your favorite coloring medium to use with Copics.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges....

Stamping Scrapping - Christmas
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything Goes

Anything Goes

Hi everyone!! This week at Simply Scrapping Craft's Copic Challenge Corner is anything goes.  Now who wouldn't want to play along in that!?!  :)  Simply Scrapping Crafts is such an AWESOME community.  I LOVE how friendly everyone is!!!

Here's the card I created for this challenge using one of Mo's digital images called "Kai in the Snow" and OMGosh....I just LOVE this image!!

I decided that I had better justify a new large order placed at SCACD  (Hubby was really good to me for my birthday!  He just doesn't know it yet!!  I figured he could surprise me on Friday.) by using the Embossing Paste and snowflake stencil that I bought over a month ago.  Seriously....I must have MORE stencils!!  I love the look although if you look close enough you can see where my paste went underneath my stencil but I still love it.  I just took my DecoArt Glamour Dust and sprinkled over the top of my wet paste.  It is so fun and sparkly IRL!!!  I also used some Sparkly Fluff for the snow on the image.  I just felt so creative making this card.  LOL!  That doesn't happen very often with me.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope that you will join us at Simply Scrapping Crafts and then pop into Copic Challenge Corner and play along with our Anything Goes challenge.

I am also using this card for the following challenges...

Really Reasonable Ribbon - Christmas
Crazy 4 Challenges - Christmas
Marks Finest Papers - Snowflake
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Delightful Challenges - Glitter it up
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Sparkle and Shine
The ABC Challenge - H is for Holiday
Paper Sundaes - Pick your Sundae Toppings
Flourishes - Christmas
Crafts and Me - Glitter
LOTV - Anything Goes

Have a good one!!!

Christmas is Coming.....

At Phindy's Place this week!!  Hi everyone.  Yep, we want to see your Phindy Christmas cards this week!!

For my card I have used a new image from Phindy's Place called "Gingerbread Delight" and she is so precious!!!  I just want to squeeze her.  :)
Isn't she just darling!?!  I played with some different colors on this image and was happy with how it turned out.  Sorry the picture is not so hot because I had to use my Ott light because we have been so grey here the last few day.  It kinda washes out the colors.

Make sure you check out what the rest of the DT has created for this awesome challenge!!  I would love to get every single one of them for Christmas!!!  ;)

Thank you for stopping by today and hope to see you at Phindy's Place this week!!!

Have a good one!!!

HELLO!!!  :)  I'm so glad that you stopped by today because have we got an awesome Copic challenge for you this week at SSC's Copic Challenge Corner!!  This week Colleen has challenged us to shadow and/or shade our image.  I just love my Copics and every little bit of practice I can get the better!  Here's the card that I created for this challenge.
OMGosh...aren't these S.W.A.L.K. images just the cutest things you've ever seen!?!  I even used my new Wonky Squares Spellbinder Nesties.  They are so cool looking!!!  I knew that I wanted to make my flowers for this card and I have had a few people ask me how I make my flowers to I took this opportunity to create a tutorial.  Can you guess how many times I had to start over!?!  :P  The one that I finally settled for (only because I wasn't going to do it 4 times) you can hear my dog just a sawing logs in the background.  Bwaahaahaa!!!!  Anyway, you can find my flower tutorial HERE and I hope you enjoy it.  I think I sound like a total dork!!!

A Love for Halloween Colors

Hi everyone!!  It's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place and this week our challenge is "Favorite Color".  Of course Pink is my favorite color but I decided that I would use one of my favorite color combos.  I have a love for Halloween colors but not so much for Halloween itself.  I'm just a little spook and freaky things send me over the edge!!!  Eek!!  I tend to embarrass myself by uncontrolled and unexpected screams.  My hubby just laughs!  Anyway, here's the card that I have created for this challenge using the image "Hurry Up Heidi"....
I just love this image!!  I love green, orange and purple together!!!

Make sure you pop on over to the Phindy's Place challenge blog because we have a new guest designer today.  Viv has created the most beautiful card!!!

:)  Hi everyone!!  Today starts a new challenge over at the SSC Copic Challenge group and I hope you will join us.  Our challenge this week is to color Caucasian skin and brown hair with highlights.  Fun and easy huh!?!

Well, for this challenge I have used a Magnolia that my friend sent to me.  Wasn't that sweet of her!?!  I just love Magnolia's but for some reason have never taken the plunge to purchase them.  I see that changing in the very near future!!!  LOL.  Shhhhh....don't tell hubby.  My granddaughters always stress because they have no mouth!!  Yesterday Tailee said "Nana, you forgot to do her lips!".  Silly girls!  :)  Here's my card using a Christmas Tilda (sorry but not sure her name)......
Okay, I know I'm not as good at coloring them as most Magnolia lovers but hey....I can learn!  :P

Hair - E25, E29, E31, E50

Stupid Cat

Hey everyone!  Well today was supposed to be the post for the new challenge at Pollycraft but unfortunately I have had a little mishap involving my hubby's cat!!!  I had my image all colored and ready to take a picture but didn't have time to do it before I left for Idaho Falls to pick up my granddaughters and while I was gone my hubby's cat jumped onto the TV tray that my project was sitting on along with my coffee mug and spilled it all over my image!!!  Totally ruined it!!  Here's what's left after I was able to salvage some of the nonpaper embellies.....
What a mess huh!?!  I hope to get a chance to redo my card and post it for you but I had my 2 month old and 2 year old granddaughters this weekend and oh my....I'm not as young as I used to be!!!  :)  I will post a couple of pictures for you but in the meantime make sure you check out the challenge at Pollycraft this week and see the fabulous inspiration from the DT!!

Here's a picture I took of Kaiya and Briley.  Oops....not very good at holding little sis up yet and would you look at the wild hair on that child!!  Guess she got her Daddy and Nana's curly hair, poor girl!  :)

Little miss Briley with her big gummy grin!!  :)  I just love when babies smile!!!
Don't ya just wanna squeeze her!?!

Thank you for stopping by today and hope to see you at the Pollycraft challenge this week!!  I promise that I will have a card for you next week.  How do you ground a cat from jumping up onto stuff!?!  :)

Have a good one!!!
