It's official!!

The announcement has been made and I can finally reveal the secret that has been killing me for the last couple of days!!! So....are you ready to hear my news!?!

I HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO BE ON THE PIXIE COTTAGE DESIGN TEAM!!! Thank you Michelle!!! I feel so honored!


OMG....I am so freakin' excited!! The Pixie Cottage has some of the cutest stamps and hope that I can inspire you with my work. I look forward to getting to know all of the talented women that have also made the team! Thanks for sharing in my exiting news.

I'll check in with you all when I get back from taking my granddaughters to see Miley Cyrus in concert!!! Boy am I looking forward to being around 10's of thousands of girls screaming at the top of their lungs. I already have my earplugs packed!!

Another Challenge

From the Victoria Case Challenge Blog. This challenge was to use Black, Purple and Green. That is such an awesome color combination I just had to do it!! Okay...so I haven't gotten anything done all day and hubby will probably not be happy but I'll fix him a nice dinner to ease his pain!! LOL!! Here is my card for the challenge.....

Isn't this fairy just darling!?! This is a digital image from Victoria Case and I colored with my Copics. You can't tell but I used my Spica glitter pens on her wings to give them some bling appeal!! If you would like to join in on the challenge you still have some time but hurry!!!

HAPPY NEWS!!!!!!!!!

I have been asked to be a guest designer for Victoria Case for the month of October. I can't tell you how excited I am to be guest designing for my absolute favorite artist ever. You need to check out all of her artwork....she has rubber stamps, digi's, and finished art that she sells in her etsy store. Everything is so AWESOME!!! There is also a challenge blog here and new challenges are posted every Thursday. Hey...you have a chance to be a guest designer for the next week. Now how cool is that!?! A new DZ Doodles

I just love this digital image from DZ Doodles and couldn't wait to color it. My cup turned out a little darker than I had anticipated but I think that the contrast works okay. I thought this image would be great for a gift bag too so I'm sure that I'll be coloring some more of these. Can't you just see a gift back with a good book and some mocha and a bookmark. I would love a gift like that!!! Okay....what do you think of my card!?!



I'm still trying to come up with the perfect sentiment!! You can't tell by the picture but this image has lots of sparkle to it. I used my Copics to color the image and then I used my Spicas to give it a little more pizazz!!! It looks really cool IRL!!!

Halloween Project

There is a challenge going on over at Victoria Case's on Paper Craft Planet for Halloween. You would win an awesome new stamp. You just have to use one of Victoria's images (not hard beings there are like a million way cute ones) and it has to be Halloween themed. This is what I came up with and this is my very first project. I have always been a little challenged when it comes to creating stuff!! I made a few oopsies but for the most part....I love how it turned out!! Here is my little Halloween gift bag with a VC digital image called Spooky Friends....


I used a tutorial from Suzanne Dean for my bag and I think it turned out pretty cute!

Now on to some other goody news.... Susana over at SCACD is having a double release on Tuesday with 2 fabulous artists. The first one is the AWESOME Victoria Case and the second is Elisabeth Bell. Now how fun is that going to be!?! If you go over to the SCACD blog you can enter for a chance to win the stamp sets and while you are at it you'll be able to see a little sneak peek of one of the stamps in the new release. You really need to check out the SCACD store too as Susana has soooo many cool things in the store right now!!! I'm waiting patiently for Tuesday before I place my order!!

Finally....

finished a card after what seemed like forever! I am still battling this whatever I have and it's starting to get the best of me!! This card was created with a new image from DZ Doodles and was a new release last weekend but being sick....I didn't get mine done. This image has so many possibilities from birthday to get well wishes. My hubby said it looked good enough to eat. He's so sweet!! Here's my card.......

DZ Doodles New Release

WooHoo!!!! Today is the day for the new release over at DZ Doodles!! Diane has created some of the cutest images and they are available for you to buy now. Here is card that I created with one of the new images and I have to say that I am SO IN LOVE with this little guy!!! The very first time I saw him I was head over heals!! Are you ready to see what I'm talking about!?! Here ya go!!!


Seriously....isn't it just the cutest thing ever!?! This card just makes me smile. It is so bright and happy and even the little sunshines are smiling!!! Can you believe that I didn't pick this paper before I colored this little guy? I have so much paper that I don't think I could color anything that I didn't have something to match!!! New Copic Buzz Challenge

Happy Labor Day!!!!

For those of you that don't celebrate Labor Day, Happy Monday!!! I have been a total bum this whole Labor Day weekend!!! Yesterday I didn't even get out of my jammies!!! Oh well....I have been a card making fool this weekend though. I have several images that I have been dying to color and this weekend was it. WooHoo! First up is a card that I think turned out so cute with the sentiment stamp that I had. The image is called "Dress up Shelby" by DZ Doodles and I think she is just darling!!! She was colored with Copics of course and I used Flower Soft Diamond Range Flower Soft on her boa and it just looks cool!!!

Isn't she darling!?! BTW....the inside says ....being happy about turning 50. Priceless!! Hubby asked if I was making that card to give to myself here in a couple of years!! I didn't seem to see the humor in his comment!!!! MEN....Don't they realize that turning 50 is very traumatic for a woman!?!

Up next is a card I created with one of Mo's images from Digital Pencil Too and this has got to be my favorite image from her although, there are tons that I love!!! I colored this little fairy with Copics and also used Spica glitter pens on her. I have to say that the picture does not do her justice!!! Hey....even my hubby loved it. So Vintage

I love this new company called Altered Expression!! They have the most fabulous vintage digital images that I have ever seen. When I got my first one I don't know what I was thinking other than....OMG...I love that image!!! I really struggled with it for about 3 days and then I decided to go with the flow instead of trying to be such a perfectionist (REALLY hard for me)!!! When I was finished with the card I was very happy with how it turned out. Here is my card with "Couple in the Park". I think I'll give it to my Mom and Dad for their anniversary this year.

It is such a beautiful image don't you think!?! If you are into digi's....check out Altered Expression and see what treasures you may find!!

Now I Can Share

I have been chosen to be on the DZ Doodles design team!! I am soooo excited that I can't stand it!! Our first assignment was to create a card for the Copic Buzz challenge sponsored by DZ Doodles this week. Okay, beings I'm on the DT for Copic Buzz and the DT for DZ Doodles....I created two cards with the awesome images that Diane creates!! The first is for the Copic Buzz DT and I went with a Christmas theme!!

For the DZ Doodles DT portion of the challenge, we was provided with an image of a scarecrow to play with!!
