Easter Egg Hunt

Today was the annual Arco Easter egg hunt! Wow, was it ever muddy except for the places that still had snow! Tailee and MayCee were in different groups this year. MayCee managed to find one egg and was a little bummed. Tailee on the other hand found about 10. Well Jake took a couple of Tailee's eggs so that he could hide them for MayCee. Needless to say, Tailee was not a happy camper!!

MayCee was excited to find two more eggs but still did not want to quit. Mom and Dad had to threaten that they would not bring them to the Easter egg hunt next year and MayCee said "I'm happy now!!"

I don't think Tailee really cared at this point. MayCee had no clue that her big sister had to give up two of her eggs so that she could have more!! They both chilled out when we said "lets go see the Easter bunny!!"

A fun time was had by all! Well, except for the mud all over my shoes!

Tomorrow we are going to Jake and Sharese's for dinner after church. We are going to have a very non-traditional Easter dinner. BBQ hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans and dessert. Maybe it's wishful thinking for spring!! Bruce doesn't eat pork anymore so no traditional dinner for us.

IT"S A GIRL!!!

NO, I'm not pregnant!! WHEW!!! My son Brandon and my DIL Ashley are going to have a baby girl! They let me go to the Dr. with them today for the ultrasound. It was so cool. She gave us a clear shot as to her gender!! They already have a name picked out and everything. Brandon wanted a girl so bad he couldn't think straight!! Her due date is August 6th and I can't wait. This will be my 4th granddaughter but my first blood granddaughter. I can't let MayCee hear that because she will be totally devastated. She is such a Nana's girl!!

My morning commute to work this morning was scary to say the least! Okay, I have all the respect in the world for truckers unless they are stupid a$$e$ and believe me, this one was. I was just topping one of the hills out on the desert and and had time to slam on my brakes and go as far over as I could and stop because this stupid f*c#$r (excuse my sailor mouth) was passing on a solid yellow pulling a double flatbed loaded. The car he was passing wasn't even half way back and there was another car right behind them. I just laid on my horn and I couldn't salute him because it was still dark. If I would have been 2 seconds faster I would have been dead! I swear to God, I just about wet my pants!!! I had to sit there for a few minutes because I was crying and shaking so bad I couldn't move!! I had to call hubby just so I could pull it together. I sure wish people that are being passed like that and other people are put in danger would get plate #'s and call 911. I know I would because that road has scary enough drivers on it without some reckless a$$hole too! Sorry for the rant!!!

My commute home was much more pleasant!! I received a call from my step-son Jake telling me that Tailee wanted to sing her Nana a song. She got on the phone and asked if I wanted to hear her sing Hey Diddle Diddle! OMG!! It was so freaking cute!! Then of course MayCee has to get on and sing too. Jake said that they would NOT leave him alone until he called so they could sing to Nana!! I just love my grand babies!!!!!

We actually had a little sun today and a lot of wind!!! Come on Spring! Hope you all had a wonderful day!

LOST!!!

Have you ever lost your mojo!?! Well, mine seems to be taking an extended vacation. I am needing desperately to finish Brandon and Ashley's wedding album. Maybe I'll get it done before the new baby arrives in August! Heather over at 3 Scrappy Boys issued a PageMaps sketch challenge. She said it always helps her when she's in a funk. I took her up on it and this is what I came up with. Thanks Heather B.!



It's not the best but at least it is better than what I have been doing!! Which is NOTHING!!! So when you get in a funk, what do you do to get out of it? I could sure use some advise. I just can't for the life of me figure out where I misplaced it!! ;)

Hey I know!! Whoever posts some tips for getting out of a funk, I will throw the names in a hat and draw someone for a nice RAK!!!! Come on, help a girl out!!!

Dumbest Purchase

Okay, Dawn at SAL has issued a challenge to blog about our dumbest purchase. I honestly can't think of anything dumb that I have purchased besides 2 certain marriage licenses. I sure hope the 3rd doesn't turn out to be a dumb purchase!! The jury is still out on that one right now. He's totally being a man today!! Grrrrrrr.

I really don't fall for the things on the TV because I guess it is the anal part of me coming out. I don't trust anyone!! That's really bad sometimes. Oh!! I just thought of one!! My rainbow vacuum cleaner!! Okay, I really loved it at first but come on. $1,500 for a vacuum that you have to dump and clean after you have cleaned and OMG, the sludge in the bottom was enough to make me gag. For any of you that don't know me, I am a total gagger. I had had it for about 2 years and my son decided to use it one day when I wasn't home (total shocker!) and didn't dump it out afterwards. A few days later I couldn't figure out what the horrid smell was in my house. Everyone says I have a hound dog nose!! Well I finally found the source of the smell. You guessed it!! I just about puked!! The $1,500 rainbow went to the dump!! I have a Dyson DC17 absolute animal now and I LOVE IT!!!!

Lesson learned....don't let anyone talk you into something until you have done a ton of research. Hey, maybe that is why I don't trust anyone!!

Is it Friday Yet!?!

Wow!! This has been a long week and it's only Wednesday!! Work was horrible yesterday. I really hate when our patients get mean because it just causes me to be mean right back and I really don't like that. I had one guy tell me yesterday "I'll have my wife call you, you'll enjoy talking to her!" Arrgg!! Bring it on dude because I won't be any more intimidated by her than I am by you. Ummm, does that make me a bitch!?! Why do people have to be like that!?!

On March 21st I'm going to go with Brandon and Ashley (my son and DIL) to their Dr's appointment because they are going to try to find out the sex of their baby!! I'm so excited but nervous!! Brandon wants a girl soooo bad! Ashley wants a boy. Hmmmm, I think they have it bass ackwards there! I always thought that momma's wanted girls and daddy's wanted boys. Oh well, just as long as it's healthy I don't care. I'll let all of you know what we find out!!

Our snow is finally starting to melt!! That is a good thing except that everything is so muddy right now! YUCK!! I almost got stuck in my lane yesterday. When it starts drying up we are going to need a grader to come and smooth the ruts out of the lane!! You should see my poor car!! MUDDY!!!! It looks like I took it 4 diggin'! OMG!!! I was just reading the weather report and we are supposed to get more snow tonight and tomorrow and then to top it off, we are supposed to get rain!! UUUHHHHGGGG!!!!

Have I said I hate DST?

I really do! If I didn't have to work so far away from home I would love it. But when you have to get up at 3:30 in the morning and go to bed at 9:00 at night it makes it really hard! It takes me back to being a child and having to go to bed when the sun was still shining and everyone was still outside playing! SO NOT FAIR!!! It seems like just yesterday that we moved our clocks back!!

Well, today will consist of removing worm castings (poop) from the breeder bed. Really looking forward to planting flower beds with this black gold. My funny hubby has been stewing all night on just how to accomplish this in an easier manner. Man were the wheels a turnin'! I think he has come up with a pretty good plan though. Oh, for those of you that don't know....my hubby raises red worms! It is actually very interesting to watch these little wiggly critters turn garbage into premium topsoil!!! We did a harvest a couple of weeks ago and pulled about 10lbs of worms out of the bed. We send these to a guy that pays us for them. We really need to learn to market them ourselves beings we could make over double what we are making now. We're still learning though! I just love it when the worms leave the harvesting tray and glob up in a big clump underneath the tray. Sure makes it a lot easier to pick them!!!

Hubby's birthday!

Yesterday was Bruce's birthday! Wow...I can't believe that he is 53. He definitely doesn't look his age!

We went out to dinner and then he went to Jake's to play darts. I didn't go because I was feeling like I had been hit by a Mack truck. I have been fighting (and winning) this yuck for a couple of months now. I am determined to not let it get a hold on me. Thank God for airborne!!

On Thursday night we went to Jake and Sharese's for a birthday party for Papa!! The girls were so excited! Sharese even bought Papa's favorite cake! German Chocolate. Tailee was dying to show everyone as soon as they walked in the door. Such a silly girl!!

Christian even put on makeup because she was going to be "Papa's pretty birthday princess" OMG did she ever look adorable!! I really had to laugh at her makeup skills though! I think we need to work on those. What ya think!?!

Of course MayCee was being a drama queen because I hadn't taken a picture of her yet. My battery was going dead so I had to click this one really fast. Quite the pose!!!
