An Easter/Spring Challenge at Phindy's Place

Hello friends!!  It is time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place and this week we are challenging you to use and Easter or Spring theme for your project.  I am so ready for spring especially since we received about an inch of snow today with another 2 to 4 inches expected tonight.  Ugh!!!  For my card I have decided to go with an Easter theme.  I have used this darling little image called "Eggstatic".  This little cutie looks like the little chicks that I am expecting to show up on Monday.  We're going to have 30 of the little cuties!!  Here's my card for this challenge...

 Isn't this image just adorable!!  I really had a lot of fun playing with this one!!  I am also using this card for The Outlawz Copic/Promarker challenge with I have issued the challenge of "Combining Mediums".  For this card I have combined my Copics with Prismacolor pencils and also use some Sakura glaze and stardust pens.  I really with you could see this image in real life.  It has so much more character than this picture shows!!!  :)

My DP is a really old Sassafras Lass but hey, it matched perfectly!!!

A Transparent Challenge

Hello friends!!  I'm so happy that you have stopped by today!!  I have issued a challenge over at The Outlawz in the Copic/Promarker Challenge Group to color something transparent.  Dang...hope it's not too hard because even some of the DT gals said they struggled with it.  I hope you will join us for this challenge and show us how you color transparent.  If you need any help you can ask away....I'm always willing to offer help!  :P

For my card today I have used this precious little Fairy Kiki stamp by Mo Manning.  LOL...you should have seen the look on my granddaughters face when she saw the bare butt.  OMGosh, she cracks me up!!!  I have lightly traced in the outlines of her hat and her back through her wings to give a transparent look.  Here's my card...

I think this has got to be my favorite baby fairy image ever!!!

Oop...I Did It Again

Hi everyone!!  So, does my title have you wondering just what it is I did again!?!  LOL!!  I created another CAS card.  You know...it may be CAS but for some reason I really struggle with it.  I think that it's the simplicity that I can't quite wrap my head around!!!  :)  Oh well.  Here's the card that I created for the Sunday CAS Challenge at The Outlawz...

For this card I have used a really old stamp from Unity and really old DP from Fiskars.  LOL...I guess I was on a really old kick!!

Lets Get Embossy

Hi everyone!!  Yep, it's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place and this week we challenge you to "Emboss" (heat or dry).  I chose to dry emboss because I just got these new embossing folders by Basic Grey.  Wow, they are really awesome!!  For my card this week I have used this adorable image called "I Glub You"....

 I love this image and its one that can be used for so many different occasions.  It also gave me a chance to practice on one of my favorite techniques....coloring transparent objects.  I just love to add depth and movement to water.  It actually looks better in person than it does in the picture.  Hey, even my hubby was impressed!!!  LOL!  Maybe he was just being nice. :)

Bowl - R81 and a color I created myself using an R85 refill and my colorless blender.  I wanted a really light pink with a blue undertone instead of yellow.

It's Just A Love Day

LOL!!  Hi everyone!!  I am super excited to bring you my post today because I just love Valentine's Day and today my card is for 2 very special challenges that are near and dear to my heart!  :)

This week at Phindy's Place our challenge is "Valentines/Loved One and I am also using this for the new Copic Challenge at The Outlawz!!  My two loves....Phindy's and The Outlawz!!!  :)  Here's my card for these two challenges and I have used the image "My Love Grows"....

Isn't this the cutest image!?! I just love it!  For some reason here lately I have had embellishment issues.  What is up with that?  I love my embellishments but I just can't make anything look right!  Ugh!!
