It's That Time Again

It's time for a new release at DZ Doodles!!  This week I chose to make two cards and I have to say that I love the images in this release!  Here is my first card for you.....

I just love how this card turned out!!  I have had this DP FOREVER!!!!  I think it works perfect with this precious image.

My next card was a bit of a challenge for me as I have never colored gold before.  I was given a link to Marianne's blog and I tried to do it that way but felt the color was too yellow for my taste so I just started playing with different colors.  I ended up using 7 different colors on this card for the horn alone!!!

So....what do you think!?!  I would love to have your honest opinion or any pointers would be greatly appreciated!!  Jump on over to DZ Doodles and check out all of the new releases and also see what the rest of the fabulous DT has done.  They are an amazing bunch of talented gals!!  While your over there.....we are having a color challenge and hope that you will join us for that also!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today and hope to see you again soon!!

Have a good one!!

This is Nutcracker Ballerina Fairy.  Michelle offered her as a freebie for her group at PCP.  You really should join the group because she is very generous with us!!  I just love this little ballerina fairy!!

And last but not least we have Holly The Christmas Friendship Fairy.  She is so delicate and pretty!!

Of course they were all colored with Copics and I used an assortment of Stickles, Sparkling Ice Glitter and Spica glitter pens.  They are just so much fun to bling up because they are so beautiful!!!

Right now Michelle is having a sketch challenge and you have until 10:00 PST on Tuesday November 3rd.  We hope that you will join us and if you don't have any of Michelle's images she is having a buy one get one free through the 31st of October.  Plus she has some freebies on the PCP group!!

My Last Victoria Case.....

guest designer challenge!!  I am so sad that my month is over!!  I want to thank Victoria and the rest of the design team for allowing me to join them in the fun this last month!!  You all ROCK!!!

Okay...now on to the challenge!!  Our challenge this week is a sketch.  Easy enough right!?!  Well, here's the catch.........NO LAYERS!!!

What....no layers!?!  OMG....another out of my box challenge!  After I thought about it for a minute I thought hmmmmm....I have some AWESOME Victoria Case for SCACD stamps that I'm sure I could come up with something that would look good with no layers!!!  I decided to use "Snow Fun" because I thought it would look awesome on just a white background.

Isn't this stamp just adorable!?!  I have colored it with my Copics and I also used the snowflakes that came with the stamp set to create the background.  I really love how it turned out!!

The next challenge is at the Victoria Case PCP group.  This is a Thanksgiving Challenge!  We want to see your Thanksgiving, Harvest and Fall cards.  For mine I used this  totally whimsical little turkey digital image from Victoria Case Art Designs.

Isn't he just the cutest ever!?!  I thought the little sign that I made just fit the cute little look he had on his face.  He is also colored with Copics.

I hope you will join us for one or both challenges and I look forward to seeing what you create!!!

Thanks for visiting today and check back tomorrow because I am going to post a couple of new cards made with Michelle Perkett digital images!!  Oh, and don't forget that Saturday is the new release for DZ Doodles!!!

Have a good one!!!

Challenge #2

It is time for challenge #2 at The Pixie Cottage!!   I can't believe how many amazing entries we had for our very first challenge.  WOW....you all are awesome!!

This time our challenge is a "Celebrate" theme.  You can use any stamp that you wish but if you have Pixie Cottage stamps we would love to see what you do with them!!

Beings we are really close to Halloween, I decided that I was going to "celebrate" Halloween.  I just love this Hannah stamp and she's all dressed up in her little witch costume!!

I decided that Hannah needed to be the center of attention on this card so I opted for no designer paper and kept my embellishments to a minimum (definitely not my normal style!).  I'm really happy with how this card turned out!  I used chalk to achieve my sky background and of course she is colored with Copics.  The black cat and the "Happy Halloween" stamps were given to me by a friend so I'm not sure who made them.

So.....what do you have to "Celebrate"!?!  Head on over to The Pixie Cottage Blog to get all the details for this challenge and also see what the rest of the design team has done.  They are such a talented bunch of gals!!!!!

Remember , there will be 1 winner chosen by random draw that will win an AWESOME prize and there will also be 3 that will get an "I made the top 3" blinky for their blog!!  Fun huh!?!

Hope to see you there!!!

Have a good one!

Time for Challenge 20

I can't believe that we are on challenge 20 already at Copic Buzz!!!  My how time flies!!  This week our sponsor is Ildi Co. and she has some of the cutest digital images!!  She has provided us with a free digi to play with if you don't have any of her images and here is the card that I created with the free image.

This  card was a lot of fun to make!  I colored the image with my Copics and used Stickles and Dimensional glaze on the waves to make them look more like water.  It's actually a lot cuter IRL because you can see all the shimmer and shine!

I hope you will join us for your challenge  this week at Copic Buzz.  You have a chance to win 4 digital images of your choice!!!

Thanks for visiting today and check back tomorrow as we have a new challenge over at The Pixie Cottage!!!

Have a good one!!

It's a DZ Doodles color challenge

We are going to start having color challenges every Sunday at DZ Doodles.  This Sunday we were to use the colors orange and black.  Well....I decided to go a little nontraditional with those colors and create a card that didn't have to do with Halloween!!  I used this awesome sunflower from DZ Doodles for my card.  I just love the versatility of this image.

We look forward to seeing what you will create for this challenge and I would love to see you do a nontraditional image with these fabulous colors!!

Now onto another DZ Doodles image.

I really had fun being creative with this fun image.  I can't believe that I didn't use one single Copic in creating this image.  I used 4 different colors of Sparkly Fluff for the stocking and the cute little bear.  I colored the package and ribbon with Sakura Stardust pens and used a little piece of ribbon to make his little scarf.  This card was just too fun to make!  Okay...I did mess up a few before I got one that I was happy with!!!!

I hope to see you at DZ Doodles for our color challenge this week!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for stopping by today and hope to see you again soon!!!

Have a good one!

Happy Saturday!!

Hi!!  I can't believe that it's Saturday already.  OMG, it will be Christmas before we know it!!!  Eek....someone slap me!!!

With today being Saturday it is time for a new release from The Pixie Cottage!!  For my card I used this cute little reindeer and I just fell in love!!!

Isn't he just darling!?!  I decided that I would doodle on my card beings I haven't done it for a long time and dang..... I think I may have gone a little overboard.  I'm used to doodling on a 12x12 layout not a 5x7 card!!  I tried to give those snowflakes the appearance of movement but think I may have blown them to the next state!!  LOL!  This card is really blingy in real life.  I used sparkling ice glitter and also diamond Stickles on my swirly's.  I used sparkly fluff (love that stuff) on the hat to give the appearance of fur.  Of course I used my Copics to color this little cutie.  Don't you think he is just too cute!?!

Make sure you stop by the blog and check out the awesome cards that the rest of the design team has created.  Lots of goodness to be found!!!!  Make sure you head on over to the store and check out some of the awesome stamps coming to The Pixie Cottage!!!

Just another reminder that you have until midnight EST tomorrow night to get your entry in for the first ever Pixie Cottage Challenge.  Hope to see you there!!

Thanks for visiting today and tune in tomorrow for a cute little image from DZ Doodles.

Have a fantastic and creative Saturday!!!

I finally decided that I was going to make an easel card!!  I have been seeing them everywhere and I JUST LOVE THEM!!  They always looked a little intimidating but once I started doing it I was like.....HELLO, this is sooooo easy!!!!!!!!!  Here is my first attempt at an easel card.............

I am so happy with how it turned out!  Don't you just ADORE this cute little elf image!?!   This is one of the images in the new Winter Wonderland series by Victoria Case for SCACD.  They are all just adorable!!  Of course I had to buy the entire set.  I just love Victoria's stamps and I just LOVE shopping at SCACD!!!!  If you have never shopped with Susana before, boy are you in for a treat!!  She has the best customer service I have ever seen!!!  You know when you see something and your like dang.....I want that now!!!  Well, Susana is pretty close to now!!!  I usually have my order within 3 days!!!!  She is soooo awesome!!!  You really should check out the store she has some really awesome things there.

For my next little project......Jana issued a challenge to use this cute little witch that Michelle kindly gave to all of her followers at PCP and she is just the funnest!!!  If you haven't found Michelle's images yet....dang, are you ever missing out!!!  If you join our group over at PCP Michelle is really good to us in providing free digi's to play with!!!  Here is the project that I made with our little freebie!!

Cute huh!?!  My granddaughters are going to freak out when they are greeted by this little cutie when they get home from school today!!!  Make sure you check out Michelle's images because they are WONDERFUL and if you buy now through October 31st she is having a buy one get one free sale!!!  Now how's that for making your crafting dollar last even longer!?!  Hurry....you only have until the 31st of October for this spooktacular sale!!!

Thanks for visiting today and stop back by tomorrow for a new Pixie Cottage release.  Oh, don't forget that you have until midnight EST to enter the Pixie Cottage Challenge!!  AWESOME prize to be had!!!!

A New Challenge and A New Release, Oh My.....

We have a new challenge on the Victoria Case Challenge Blog and it is soooo much fun!!  Our challenge this week is to use the colors Dark Brown, Red and Ivory.  What great colors to use on Christmas images.  Here is the card that I created for the challenge....

I used Victoria Case's "Winter" image that is an exclusive to SCACD and I just love her.  Actually, I love the entire set!!!  She is colored with Copics and I used Flower Soft Polar White.  I used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and then I used Robins Nest Dewdrops in the center of the snowflakes!!  I really love how this card turned out!!

Okay, now on to the new release!!!  The image that I had the privilege of working with are these cute little pilgrims!!  I really had some fun coloring these two little cuties.

Aren't they just adorable!?!  Make sure you check out Victoria's blog to see what the rest of the DT have created with her fun new images and make sure you stop in at the store and see which ones you just can't live without!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today and I hope to see you back here on Saturday for a new release from The Pixie Cottage.

Hope you have a great day!!!

Friday on a Wednesday!

Sounds confusing huh!?!  Well today I have made a card using one of Michelle Perkett's digital images and if you haven't seen her images you are really missing out!!  You can see what she has to offer here.  They are STUNNING!!!  Today I used "Spring" to be creative with and I must say....I love how she turned out!!!  The good thing about having almost all of the Copic colors!!  I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers (hence the Friday on a Wednesday!!) for my card and I love it!!  There are so many possibilities for this awesome sketch!!  You really should play along this week!!!  The sponsor this week is Quixotic Paperie.  On to the card............

I love the colors!!  Isn't this image just amazing!?!  You will love Michelle's images!!!

Make sure you stop back by tomorrow as we have a new challenge for the Victoria Case Challenge Blog and she is also having a new digi release.  TOO CUTE!!!!  You don't want to miss it!!!

Thanks for visiting today and hope you have a Wonderful Wednesday!!

Have a good one!!

It's Tuesday......

and that means it's time for a new challenge over at Copic Buzz.  This week we are being sponsored by Nikki from DewDrop Craftz.  Nikki has some of the coolest digital stamps and rubber stamps and she also does some custom work too!!

You are going to love this challenge!!!  The challenge this week is to create a card using any image and NO patterned paper!  LOL....so, how many of you actually caught yourself gasping!?!  My first response was EEK and then I thought....hmmmm this could be fun!  I hope you will join us this week and show how creative you can get with no DP!!

Here is the card that I created using a stamp from The Pixie Cottage called Fall Wagon Wheel.  I LOVE this image so much and I really put my coloring capabilities to the test with this one.  I tried to make it look as real as possible and my hubby thinks I did a pretty good job.  LOL....we have an old wagon wheel so I kind of cheated and used it as my guide on getting the aged and rusty look to it.

Oh how I loved coloring this one!!!  The hard part was not using DP!!!  I guess it's very simplistic so the image takes center stage huh!?!

I hope you will join us at Copic Buzz for this weeks challenge!!!  We also have a group on Paper Craft Planet and we would love to have you join us there also.  A few of the gals are Copic Certified Designers so if you ever have any questions they are more than willing to help!!!

Thanks for visiting today and hope you will show support for Nikki by participating in this weeks challenge.  She is one of our faithful sponsors and we APPRECIATE her so very much!!!!

I hope you will join me back here on Saturday as we are having another release for The Pixie Cottage!!  BTW....you still have time to get in on our VERY FIRST CHALLENGE with a chance to win an awesome prize!!  Hope to see you then!!

Have a good one!!!

SCACD Spotlight Stamper.....

I am so honored to be the spotlight stamper for SCACD this week!!  Susana has the most amazing store and she has THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE out there.  If you want something fast.....order from Susana!!!

My first card for you this week is a card I made using my very first Lockhart stamp!!  I have always been so intimidated by them and now that I have one.....I don't know why!!!  I absolutely loved coloring this beautiful stamp!  First I'll show you the card and then I'll share the details!

I just love how this turned out!!!  I used the Lockhart Holiday Window Stamp for my image and colored it with my Copics.  I used my Spica glitter pens to add some sparkle to my greenery.  It's really hard to see it in the picture but it's very pretty.  Next I used a wood swirly and painted it with Creative Inspirations Pink Highlights paint and then added a layer of Diamond Stickles over the top of that!!  It has some serious bling factor to it and I love it!!  Next I used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch and branch punch and also layered Diamond stickles over those.  I used a Robins Nest Metallic Dew Drop in the center and also used Robins Nest Clear Raindrops around my swirly.  The sentiment is from MSE.  So....what do you think!?!

I just want to thank SCACD for the opportunity of being the Spotlight Stamper this week and hope I have provided you with some inspiration!!  Make sure you check out Susana's store....you won't be sorry you did!!!!!

Hope you have a fun and creative week and THANKS for visiting my blog today!!!

Have a good one!!!

Michelle Perkett Studio

Michelle has the most beautiful digital images and you can find them here.  I just created my very first card using one of her images and I must say....I love them!!!  She also has rubber stamps that you can get  from Fairy Song Art Stamps.  Yummy....the best of both worlds!!!

Here is my card created with Michelle's Enchanted Slumber image.  I love fairy's and especially fairy's that are gorgeous!!

Isn't she beautiful!?!  I have colored her with Copics and used Sakura stardust pens and a Spica glitter pen to color her crown, vines and the stitching of the vines and flowers on her dress.  I used diamond Stickles on the sun and the whole thing is amazingly shimmery in real life.  I hope you find inspiration in my card and would love to see some cards that you make with Michelle's image.

Thanks for visiting and join me back here tomorrow as this next week I am the Spotlight Stamper for SCACD.  I have a brand new Lockhart (my very first Lockhart) to share with you and hope you will enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed creating it!!

See you tomorrow and have a good one!!!

Busy Beauties Boutique......

is a new digital image company owned by the sweetest person and her name is Carolyn!  Her and a friend decided to make their dream a reality and are we ever lucky that they did!!  Although they may not have tons of images right now, what they do have is FABULOUS!!  You can find all of the images here.  She also has a group over at Paper Craft Planet if you would like to join us in some friendly chatter!!  Here is a card that I made with my very Busy Beauties image and I hope you enjoy it!!!

I am really happy with how she turned out.  She is colored with Copics and I also used some Diamond Stickles to give her bubbles a little bit of that bubble shimmer.  It doesn't show up very well in the picture but it is really pretty IRL!!  For the card I used a sketch from SCS.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and hope you have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you back here on Sunday for another new digi release from Victoria Case.  Trust me girls.....you do not want to miss this one as it is Smokin' HOT!!  LOL...so, do I have your attention!?!

Have a good one!!

A New Challenge at Victoria Case

I can't believe that it's Thursday already!! Wow....where has this week gone!?! I know this is a scary thought but Christmas is sneaking up on us really fast!! If you haven't started your Christmas cards yet why not sneak over to Victoria's store and check out all of her adorable stamps and see if there is one that you just can't live without.  And after you have that stamp why not use this sketch that's on the Challenge Blog to help you with a little creative boost and possibly win you a chance to be a guest designer for the next week!!!

Here is my card to hopefully provide a little inspiration to get you moving on those Christmas cards!!

This image was sooooo much fun to get a little creative with and these cute little guys just make me smile!!!  This is one of Victoria's digital images so you can have it fast and not have to wait for shipping (so you can get those cards started!!  LOL!!).  This image was colored with my Copics, Spica glitter pens and I used some Sparkly Fluff for the snow (have I said that I love that stuff!?!).  You know......a picture just does not do this image justice.  You can let your creativity flow with this one!!

I hope you will join me and the rest of the Design Team (which by the way.....you need to see the awesome creations that they made with this sketch) this week for our super fun sketch challenge.  Hope to see you there or here!!!  :D
