A Pixie Saturday Showcase

This is my final post as part of The Pixie Cottage DT and I am really going to miss these fabulous images and the awesome girls that I have worked with these past months!!  Those that see this...just know that I'm going to miss you terribly!!  Thank you Michelle for the opportunity to showcase your awesome stamps!!

We are showcasing some new stamps today and I have chosen to show you the new Crawling Cassie stamp from Lisa Schmidt.  OMGosh....I love this adorable little baby soooo much!!  Here's my card................

Isn't she just the cutest little thing ever!?!  She has been colored with Copics and I have used crystal Stickles on her cute little bum, bow and binky!!!!  I really love the way this turned out.  I used E000, E00, E02 and R20 on her skin.  I think it was the perfect combo for a baby's skin.  I used E15, E17 and E18 on her little tiny strand of hair and RV000, RV02, RV06 for her bottoms, bow and binky.  She was so much fun to work with and I'm happy that I got the chance to work with her before my term ended.  She will definitely be a staple in my baby card making!!

Make sure you drop by The Pixie Cottage blog and see the rest of the new stamps that the DT have showcased for you.  They are all FABULOUS!!!

Thank you all for stopping by and I hope to see you again!!!

Have a good one!!!!

My Last Challenge

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE DIGI SHACK POST IT IS RIGHT BELOW THIS ONE!!

Today is my last challenge as a DT member with The Pixie Cottage.  I have chosen not to continue due to other things in my life.  I will miss being a designer for The Pixie Cottage as they have AWESOME stamps!!  I hope that any friends I have made along the way will continue along with me.  I'll miss you all!!  Make sure you check out the blog and see the new DT along with some of the old.  Big hugs to you all!!

Our challenge this week is circles.  Basically you can interpret that how you would like as long as there are circles of some sort on your card.

Here's my card for this challenge............
I so love this cow and she was just the perfect image for what I had in my head!!  I wish you could see this card IRL.  SOOOO MUCH CUTER!!!!!  If you would like this image or any other Pixie Cottage image you can find them all HERE!!!

Hope you will join us for our challenge at The Pixie Cottage and also check out how the rest of the DT has interpreted the circle challenge!!  Fun fun fun!!!

BTW....I will be back to post one more card for The Pixie Cottage on Saturday!!!

Hope to see you then and thanks for stopping by!!

Have a good one!!

A New Sketch Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at The Pixie Cottage and this week our challenge is based on a sketch by fellow DT member Anne!!

Here is the card I made based on her sketch....

I used a stamp called SouthEnd Girls 2 by Andrea T. Seiler.  I LOVE this stamp.  It can be used for so many different occasions and I love stamps like that!!!  Isn't she awesome?  You can't really tell from this picture but this card has lots of Crystal Stickles used on it and it has some serious shine!!  I also used some new Prima Fairytale Roses.  If you like the Prima mini roses you are going to love these.  They come with no wire stem and the rose is about double the size of the minis.  I love them but then again.....I am a flower freak!!!  :)

Originally I had done a baby card for this sketch but I just couldn't make it look the way I wanted it to so when my new stamp came in the mail on Monday....I was all over it!!  LOL!!

Make sure you stop by The Pixie Cottage blog and check out what the rest of the DT has done with Anne's sketch!!  Come join us and let's have some fun!!!!

Hope to see you there!!!

Have a good one!

A Mixture of Things

Hey everyone!!  So....what did y'all think about the Super Bowl!?!  WooHoo!!!!  My hubby even won some money on one of his football boards.  That and the fact that the Saint's won....I am a happy camper!!!!

I have a couple of cards for you today!!  The first one is one of my new stamps from Faerie Song.  I just love this stamp!!  Here's my card............
Isn't this just the greatest stamp?  The little Corner Mushroom stamps are from The Pixie Cottage and I thought that they went perfect with this image!!  I created this card for the Copic Colour Challenge and our colors this week were to use E18 which I used on the flowers, E42 and E77 both of which I used on the mushrooms.  WOW...I never would have thought the E77 would be the perfect color for mushrooms!!!  I am really loving this blog because it is making me think about color combination's that I probably wouldn't think of!!!

I am also going to enter this one into the Flutter By Wednesday's challenge which is an open challenge this week but you have to use a fairy, butterfly or angel.  I guess that both of my cards would qualify for this challenge today!!!

Copics Used:

My next card is using my new Haiti Relief stamp "Shining On"  by ching-chou kuik for Sweet Pea Stamps.  When you purchase this stamp 50% of the price will be donated to Doctors Without Borders.  Here's my card..............
This is only my second card ever that I have colored ethnic skin.  WOW....I think I need a lot more practice!!  Melissa at Sweet Pea Stamps has been giving me some pointers but I just can't bring myself to try another one just yet!!  LOL!!  For this stamp I have used my black Spica glitter pen to color her wings.  I also used a silver pen to do the leaves in her hair.  This card really has lots of sparkle in real life but I guess your just going to have to take my word for it!!  :)  I used feathers and this little crystal butterfly that I got from Michael's.

Copics Used:

One more think before I go!!!  I almost forgot about the Sweet Pea Stamps Customer Challenge for this week.  The challenge was to create and ATC and you could only use 3 colors.  First of all, this is the very first ATC that I have ever done!!!!  OMGosh...what are you to do with such a little thing!?!  Second, I don't even know what an ATC is for!!  Total stampin' newbie here!!  LOL!!  But.........I just love challenges!!!  Here is the ATC that I created for this challenge using an angel stamp from Plate #17 at Sweet Pea Stamps.
This is just a gorgeous stamp set!!
Thanks for visiting me today and be sure and check back tomorrow as we have a new challenge at The Pixie Cottage!!!!  BTW....sorry for such a long post!!!!!

Have a good one!!!

A New Release

It's time for a new release at The Pixie Cottage!!!  I have to tell you that there are some really cute stamps that are either in the store or should be here any day!!  For this release I have used a cute little fairy image from Eileen Gutierrez.  I just loved working with this image!!!  Here's my card for this release.............
Isn't she just adorable!?!  I really enjoyed coloring her.  I wish you could see this card IRL!!  Her wings have been glittered with Diamond Stickles and I also used the Stickles on the mini roses.

Okay...I'm going to give you a real shocker!!!  I actually did the inside of the card too!!  I know, huh!?!  Here's the inside of my card.......
I'm really happy with it considering I don't normally do the inside!!!  My sentiment stamp is from Great Impressions and I used my MS heart border punch.

Copics used...........

I actually went in search of challenges that I could fit this card in and this is what I have come up with.....

Flutter By Wednesday's - Open challenge with butterfly, fairy or angel.
Lexi's Creations - Valentine's
The Sweet Stop - Sketch
My Time To Craft - Elegant Rose
Practical Scrappers - Patterned Paper
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Freestyle

Thanks for visiting my blog today and I hope that you will hop on over to The Pixie Cottage blog and check out all of the new release images that the design team has created with!!  They are all so fabulous!!!

Red and/or Pink

Hey everyone!!!  It's time for a new challenge at The Pixie Cottage!!  Our challenge this week is a color challenge and you are to use the colors red and/or pink.  How appropriate for this time of year huh!?!  The season of love!!!  LOL!  For my card I used this adorable little stamp from Tricia Moore called Ten Feet Tall.  This stamp really has a lot of potential to be used for many occasions.

Isn't this just the cutest little giraffe?  I decided that I was going to color mine with our challenge colors just for something cute and whimsical.  I'm terrible about picking my paper before I color and what do you know...I found scraps that matched perfectly!!  While looking for embellishments I happened upon a sticker sheet by 7 Gypsies in my little mini scrapbooking store!!!  LOL!  It fit perfect with my cute little whimsical giraffe!!!!  After all.....how many pink with red polka dot giraffes have you ever seen in your life!?! :)

The image was colored with Copics and can you believe, I forgot to take a picture.  This one was fairly simple though and I used RV000, 02, 06 and 09 and R32, 35, 37 and 39.  I also used W9 and 7on the feet and my DP is from American Crafts.

I hope you will join us at The Pixie Cottage for our challenge and don't forget that you have two weeks to complete it.  Hop on over to The Pixie Cottage blog and check out what the rest of the design team has created using these colors as their inspiration!!  They are all awesome!!

You really need to check out the store too as Michelle has been and will be getting some new stamps and OMGosh....are they ever cute cute cute!!

Also Michelle has a super blog candy to giveaway too!
There are great new stamps arriving in the store any day soon and she wants to know which is your favorite.

Just add the picture of the blog candy with a link and then leave a comment telling us which your favorite HERE and you could win your favorite!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope too see you at The Pixie Cottage blog!!!

A Pixie Christmas

Today is a new Pixie Cottage release and we was asked to create something besides a card!!  Uh-oh!!!   I decided that I was going to make a Christmas ornament and while I was making it my granddaughter Tailee decided that she wanted it so.....I guess I'll give it to her to put on her Christmas tree at home.  Better get busy because I'm sure I'll be making a few more!!!  :)

I used this precious new image from Alisa Ramirez that will be available in the store within the next couple of weeks!!

Isn't that image just adorable!?!  I just thought they looked like they was waiting for Santa!!  I created my ornament with a round coaster and then just cut my DP out to fit.  I added my lace between my two sheets of DP and went from there!!!  I think it turned out really cute and my granddaughters love it!!!  As you can see.....I'm a big loser and don't have my Christmas tree up yet!!  Bah Humbug!!!  LOL!!!

Make sure you hop on over to the blog and check out what the rest of the DT has done.  They were so creative!!!!  You are going to love ithem!!!

You still have until Sunday night to enter into our latest challenge!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today and hope to see you at The Pixie Cottage!!!

Have a good one!!

Stitches!?!

Eek....I had to blow the dust off of my sewing machine to do the new challenge for The Pixie Cottage.  Our challenge this week is called "Getting Stitchy"!!  I have seen so many talented gals that do fabulous stitching on their cards and I am unfortunately not one of them!!!  LOL!!

Here's my card for this challenge........

This was such a fun image to play with and can be used for so many different occasions.  You can find all of The Pixie Cottage stamps at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More.  This card is colored with my Copics and I used the excess rubber from trimming my stamps as my pop dots.  Waste not, want not!!  LOL!!!  My hubby would be so proud of me.

Okay.....the new challenge is to use stitching on your card and I can't wait to see what you do with this challenge!!

I want to thank all of you who participated in our challenge this last week and let you know that it was really tough choosing a top 3 because ALL of the cards were FABULOUS!!  I wish I could pick all of you.  :)

Stop by The Pixie Cottage Blog and check out the AWESOME creations that the rest of this fabulous design team has created.  You won't be sorry!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today and hope to see you join in on our challenge at The Pixie Cottage!!!  Blow that dust off girls!!  Bwaahaahaa......what, that's just me!?!  Just call me stitching stupid!!!  *giggle*

It's Pixie Cottage Day

You guessed it.....it's time for another Pixie Cottage release. This week I created my card with a brand new image by Alisa Ramirez.  I so love this little elf, he just has the cutest look on his face!!!  Are you ready to see my card!?!

Here it is...............

I know that he has a very nontraditional hat but I decided to mix it up a bit.  Hey....maybe he's a little bit of a rebel!!  LOL!!!  The card is colored with my Copics and then I used a doodlebug stamp for my sentiment.  I used white colorbox ink and bridal tinsel embossing powder.  It really has some sparkle in real life.  I used Sparkly fluff for my snow and the fur and pompoms.

Make sure you stop by The Pixie Cottage and check out what the rest of the DT has done this week!!  What a fabulous bunch of girls!!!  They are all very talented and I feel very fortunate to be working with them!!

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a great day.  Just a reminder....you have one more day to get in on the challenge for this week!!  It is an awesome sketch so why don't you give it a try!!!!!

Have a good one!!

Challenge #2

It is time for challenge #2 at The Pixie Cottage!!   I can't believe how many amazing entries we had for our very first challenge.  WOW....you all are awesome!!

This time our challenge is a "Celebrate" theme.  You can use any stamp that you wish but if you have Pixie Cottage stamps we would love to see what you do with them!!

Beings we are really close to Halloween, I decided that I was going to "celebrate" Halloween.  I just love this Hannah stamp and she's all dressed up in her little witch costume!!

I decided that Hannah needed to be the center of attention on this card so I opted for no designer paper and kept my embellishments to a minimum (definitely not my normal style!).  I'm really happy with how this card turned out!  I used chalk to achieve my sky background and of course she is colored with Copics.  The black cat and the "Happy Halloween" stamps were given to me by a friend so I'm not sure who made them.

So.....what do you have to "Celebrate"!?!  Head on over to The Pixie Cottage Blog to get all the details for this challenge and also see what the rest of the design team has done.  They are such a talented bunch of gals!!!!!

Remember , there will be 1 winner chosen by random draw that will win an AWESOME prize and there will also be 3 that will get an "I made the top 3" blinky for their blog!!  Fun huh!?!

Hope to see you there!!!

Have a good one!
