It's a Sketch at The Shack

Yep....today is Wednesday and that means it's time for a new challenge at The Digi Shack.  Our challenge today is based on this sketch.

This sketch really has a lot of potential and if you check out all of the DT cards at The Digi Shack you will be able to see some fun cards.  Here is the card that I made based on this sketch.

Isn't this image just hilarious!?!  She was so much fun to play with and hubby and I have this running joke about me having purple hair when I get old.  He thought the purple was great!!!  You can find her and many more awesome images HERE!!  Now I just need to think of something clever to say on the inside.  Sorry that my picture is not the greatest but we have been so rainy and gray here the last few days!!

A Pixie Saturday Showcase

This is my final post as part of The Pixie Cottage DT and I am really going to miss these fabulous images and the awesome girls that I have worked with these past months!!  Those that see this...just know that I'm going to miss you terribly!!  Thank you Michelle for the opportunity to showcase your awesome stamps!!

We are showcasing some new stamps today and I have chosen to show you the new Crawling Cassie stamp from Lisa Schmidt.  OMGosh....I love this adorable little baby soooo much!!  Here's my card................

Isn't she just the cutest little thing ever!?!  She has been colored with Copics and I have used crystal Stickles on her cute little bum, bow and binky!!!!  I really love the way this turned out.  I used E000, E00, E02 and R20 on her skin.  I think it was the perfect combo for a baby's skin.  I used E15, E17 and E18 on her little tiny strand of hair and RV000, RV02, RV06 for her bottoms, bow and binky.  She was so much fun to work with and I'm happy that I got the chance to work with her before my term ended.  She will definitely be a staple in my baby card making!!

A Sketch with Text

That is the new challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio's challenge blog.  Our challenge is to make a card based on this sketch.........

This is an awesome sketch and I really had lots of fun creating with it.  Here is the card that I created for this challenge...............

I just love Michelle's Emma Fairy!!  She is just so beautiful and as soon as I saw her I knew I had to have her!!!  You can find her in Michelle's Etsy Store.  Michelle has the most beautiful images and I have to admit that I own almost every single image that she has in her store.

My image is colored with Copics and I also used my clear Spica Stardust pen for the swirls and her eyes.  The sentiment is a stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps and I though that it just fit perfectly with his image.

My Last Challenge

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE DIGI SHACK POST IT IS RIGHT BELOW THIS ONE!!

Today is my last challenge as a DT member with The Pixie Cottage.  I have chosen not to continue due to other things in my life.  I will miss being a designer for The Pixie Cottage as they have AWESOME stamps!!  I hope that any friends I have made along the way will continue along with me.  I'll miss you all!!  Make sure you check out the blog and see the new DT along with some of the old.  Big hugs to you all!!

Our challenge this week is circles.  Basically you can interpret that how you would like as long as there are circles of some sort on your card.

I so love this cow and she was just the perfect image for what I had in my head!!  I wish you could see this card IRL.  SOOOO MUCH CUTER!!!!!  If you would like this image or any other Pixie Cottage image you can find them all HERE!!!

The Digi Shack is Back

With another Wednesday challenge!!!  We was going to have the whole month be watercolor Wednesday but I think you all were afraid of it!!  LOL!!  So....this week our challenge at The Digi Shack is basically an anything goes with one exception................your card can not be standard A2 size or square.  :)  It can be round, shaped, long and skinny (which by the way is what I wish I was but that's a whole other story!!) just as long as it's not a standard card!!  In my desire to be long and skinny (hehe) that is the card that I opted for.  Here's my card.......

Isn't this just the most majestic looking animal you have ever seen!?!  As soon as I saw that horse I knew that I had to have it!!  This card reminds me so much of my father-in-law which btw passed away a year ago yesterday.  I guess he was on my mind when I made this card and he would have loved it!!!  I have colored this AWESOME image with my Copics.  I am so happy with how this card turned out!!  Hmmmm....now to find an envelope!!!  :)  If you would like this image you can find it and many more western themed images at The Digi Shack store.  What perfect images to use for your favorite cowboy or cowgirl!!!

A Digi Shack DP Challenge

WooHoo....it's Saturday and time for a new Saturday challenge at The Digi Shack!!  The challenge today is to print your image on designer paper.  Okay, I have to admit that I didn't know what that meant so I had to ask!  *blush*  Hey....I'm still considered a newbie if I've only been in this hobby for less than a year aren't I!?!  It's basically the same thing as paper piecing (never done that either).  This was a totally new concept for me and I have to admit that it was kind of fun!!  Here's the card I created...........

 I just love this image and have had it forever.  It was one of the very first digi's that I bought and of course you can find her and a lot more in The Digi Shack Store.  I thought she would be perfect for this challenge!!!  My hubby was making fun of me because I colored her pink.  I think she looks darling pink with her little flowered pink skirt!!!  :)

She is colored with Copics and I also used my Sakura Stardust pens on her toes (hey...a girl has to have sparkly toes) and her microphone and the music notes.  I also used Stickles on her necklace.  Don't you think she's just adorable.  Okay....if you don't, don't tell me okay!?!  :P  I think she will make a perfect birthday card for MayCee beings she is my little pink piggy lover!!!

It's a Green Kinda Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!  May the luck of the Irish be with you!!  Today at The Digi Shack we are having a green challenge!!!  What a great day to have a green challenge huh!?!  Here's the card I did for the challenge.  My granddaughter LOVES dragons so I thought I would make this card for her.

Homemade Flowers and Stitching

Oh my!!!  Bwaahaahaa!!!  Yep, it's time for a new challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio!!!  Sorry I'm late posting but I seem to be having issues with Blogger today!!  Hmmm....for some reason my computer is hating me here lately!!  Anyway....Our challenge this week was to use homemade flowers and to use stitching on those flowers.  Here's my card and then I'll tell you my story!!  :)

Yea...your probably thinking......dang, her flower looks lame.  Well, you can blame it on my hubby!!!  He went to the city on Saturday and was supposed to pick me up 3 simple things.  Do you think he remembered to do it!?!  NO!!  Did he have a list!?!  YES!!  Did he forget any of his stuff!?!  NO!!  Ugh....darn men!  Living in a very rural town I don't have access to the things that I always need and therefore....I had to improvise!!  I used chipboard flowers and then cut out CS to fit them, used a little Distress ink and glued them all together!!!  Damn....I forgot the stitching (I had every intention of stitching around the edge of the flower)!!!  Have you ever tried to stitch through chipboard!?!  Yea...it just wasn't going to work so I decided to use faux stitching on my flower and actually do stitching for the stem.  I am not happy with this card at all because I had something totally different in mind and well, that just didn't work out (THANKS TO HUBBY)!!!!!

I do love this image though and I'm really happy with how she turned out!!  Something in my control!!  LOL!!  Her name is Ballerina Bunny and you can find her HERE along with a lot more awesome images that are must haves!!!

Meljen's Designs and a Bunch of Challenges

OMGosh.....I have found a new digi company called Meljen's Designs and they are absolutely adorable!!!  Melissa does the cutest whimsical characters I have ever seen.  I have a feeling that you will be seeing more and more of her images as people become familiar with her work!!  She also has a group on Paper Craft Planet where we can all chat and share our creations and we would love to have you join us!!!  Lots of fun to be had over there!!!

Here is the very first card that I have created with one of Melissa's precious images and I hope I have done it justice!!!

I wish you could see this card IRL because I used my Sakura Stardust pens on her overalls and all of the little loops and swirls.  Too cute!!!!  I actually used some Queen and Co Felt Frenzy's that I have had FOREVER!!!  OMGosh....now I wish they still made them because I want MORE MORE MORE!!!  :)  I have colored her with my Copics and just had lots of fun with this ADORABLE image!!!  LOL....can you tell I'm in love with these whimsical images!?!  You really need to check out the store!!!!  I'm sure more than one will jump into your cart! :P  I also hope that you will join us at Meljen's Designs on Paper Craft Planet!!!

It's Watercolor Wednesday

During the month of March at The Digi Shack we are going to have Watercolor Wednesday's.  If you jump on over to the blog you will find a couple of video's from Toni on watercoloring digi images.  I have really been broadening my coloring horizons here lately and I am so loving it.  Here's my card..............

Isn't this little bunny just the cutest thing ever!?!  I just love his plump little booty!!!  LOL!!  Did you know that all images at The Digi Shack are only $1 unless noted otherwise!?!  Dang...you can actually take this cute little bunny to live at your house for only $1!!!  That is just crazy fun and there are some AWESOME images in the store with more coming all the time!!  For my watercolor technique I used Distress ink.  OMG...I am becoming totally addicted to them and my aqua painter!!!!  I didn't have any fixative so I used a thin layer of hairspray (a tip given by my friend on PCP (PaperCraft Plant heehee), Anita!!  Thanks girl.).  It works pretty good as long as you don't use a lot of water and try to avoid the lines for the most part.

It's a Green Challenge

The challenge this week at The Pixie Cottage is to use green as your primary color.  I seem to be on a green and yellow kick here lately so I decided to do green and orange on this one.  For my card I used the Alisa in Wonderland by Alisa Ramirez.  Here's my card.............

I just love this stamp!!  She is so much fun to color.  She is colored with Copic markers and once again....no picture of them!!

Slam Dunkin' The Challenges

Okay...I'm making up for lost time here!!  :)  Today I have 3 cards to show you and each is for a different challenge.  So....let's get this party started!!!

I'm going to apologize right from the start for not taking pictures of my Copics used again!!  Now that I'm finally starting to feel better...I will be all over it!!  I hope!!  :)

First up is a card for the Michelle Perkett Studio Challenge blog and the challenge was this fabulous sketch.

Next up is a card that I did for the Sweet Pea Stamps Customer Card Challenge.  The challenge was to use a Sweet Pea Stamp and use the colors Green, Yellow and Pink!!  Ahhh....nice refreshing spring colors don't ya think!?!  For this one I used one of ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Stamps called Forest Blue.  Here's my card..............

Okay...so she's not blue but I still like how she turned out!!!

My last card is for the challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's new challenge blog.  The challenge here was to use green as your main color and to use one of Sassy Cheryl's images.  That was an easy one too because she has the funnest images!!!  Here's my card............

Okay.....here's my first card...............

Ain't he just the cutest!?!  I just want to kiss him right on the nose between those two big ol' googly eyes!!  Of course my image is colored with Copics and I have to admit that here lately I am a big loser at taking a picture of the Copics I used.  I promise that once I'm feeling better I'll get back on that!!!  Sorry!!  If you have a question on the colors I'm sure I remember them so just ask away!!!

MY CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!!

In honor of spring and the fact that I seem to be on this color kick here lately (LOL) I am issuing a challenge to use the colors Green and Yellow with..............are you ready for it!?!  A splash!!!  That's right...I would like you to use Green and Yellow with a splash of any color that you choose!!!  For my card I have chosen to use Blue as my splash.  OMG....I can not tell you how much fun it was to play with this WAY TOO CUTE image!!!  Here's my card.....

I sure wish you could see this card IRL because it has all kinds of shine!!!  I have created this card for a little boy that is in need of some serious cheering up.  Sure hope it helps!!!!  :)  Make sure you leave me a link to your blog if you do my challenge so that you can be in the running for the overall!!  Sorry....I would have gotten a prize pack together but just didn't feel up to it this time.  I promise that the next hop......I'M ALL OVER IT!!!

My Very First

Some of you probably already know but I have been really sick for the last week!  I'm talking in bed sick!!  I finally went to the doctor yesterday and was told I have bronchitis, a sinus infection and an ear infection.  OMG....can they think of anything else I could possibly have wrong with me!?!  3 prescriptions later.....I'm still coughing up my lungs (with legs crossed very tightly) and my antibiotic and my tummy are not getting along!!!  Sheesh....I can't even color right now because I keep coughing very unexpectedly and it looks like my 1 year old granddaughter colored it!!!!

So today you get a card with an image that I colored several days ago but just made it into a card today. 

Okay....I've officially been in this hobby of stamping and coloring since July of 2009 and I have finally colored my very first Magnolia stamp!!!  *GASP*  *giggle*  I have been playing with Distress inks here lately and this is the very first image I colored with water and ink.  I used Distress ink and also some Nick Bantock ink that I've had like FOREVER!!!!  Here's my card.............

I used like 3 different colors on her skin and I haven't decided if I like it yet.  Everyone in my family says it looks good but.......I think I'm too used to the colors with my Copics!!!  Overall I think this turned out pretty good considering I'm very new at coloring with inks!!

An Exciting Announcement

Hi everyone!!  So...did you think I dropped of the face of the earth!?!  Dang....the way I feel right now I kinda feel like I have!!!  I have had the yuckys for a week now!!!  Hope to start feeling better soon!!

I have an exciting announcement to make today (that I was supposed to make on Thursday of last week....sheesh)!!

So...have you heard the news!?!  The Digi Shack is BACK (WooHoo) and I have been invited by Toni to be on her new DT!!!!!  I am really excited about this and can't wait to get started!!!  We are going to be having an AWESOME blog hop on March 7th which is the kickoff day to our new blog and trust me.....it is going to be fun fun fun!!!  Not like any blog hop I've seen before!!!!

To start you off I'm going to show you a little sneak peek of one of the new images that are coming soon!!!
