Copic Colour Challenge

I am trying to expand my horizons with my Copics and have found this blog called Copic Colour Challenge and have decided that I needed to give it a try!!  The challenge this week was to use the colors E00, E33 and R02.  You could also use other colors with them as long as you had those colors on your project.  I used all three of the colors on the skin.  Wow....I was really happy with the result although, I did add E000 to that threesome of colors.  Here is the card that I created using these three colors.
The stamp is from Sweet Pea Stamps, ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection and the stamp is called Blue Eye Fairy.  I have a confession to make....I now own every single one of the Fantasy Art stamps.  I'm hopelessly addicted to them and they are so amazing!!  If you haven't see this line of stamps....you can check them out HERE!!!

Copics Used..............
I have also used the sketch from The Sweet Stop beings I didn't get my card posted in time for the last one!!  If you have never seen the sketches from The Sweet Stop.....you really need to check them out!!  Korin has the most beautiful sketches that I have ever seen!!!

Thanks for stopping by and on Tuesday I will be posting the new challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio and you do not want to miss this one!!  I definitely had to step outside my box to do it!!!!  LOL....just a little tease!!!

Have a good one!!!

Red and/or Pink

Hey everyone!!!  It's time for a new challenge at The Pixie Cottage!!  Our challenge this week is a color challenge and you are to use the colors red and/or pink.  How appropriate for this time of year huh!?!  The season of love!!!  LOL!  For my card I used this adorable little stamp from Tricia Moore called Ten Feet Tall.  This stamp really has a lot of potential to be used for many occasions.

Isn't this just the cutest little giraffe?  I decided that I was going to color mine with our challenge colors just for something cute and whimsical.  I'm terrible about picking my paper before I color and what do you know...I found scraps that matched perfectly!!  While looking for embellishments I happened upon a sticker sheet by 7 Gypsies in my little mini scrapbooking store!!!  LOL!  It fit perfect with my cute little whimsical giraffe!!!!  After all.....how many pink with red polka dot giraffes have you ever seen in your life!?! :)

The image was colored with Copics and can you believe, I forgot to take a picture.  This one was fairly simple though and I used RV000, 02, 06 and 09 and R32, 35, 37 and 39.  I also used W9 and 7on the feet and my DP is from American Crafts.

I hope you will join us at The Pixie Cottage for our challenge and don't forget that you have two weeks to complete it.  Hop on over to The Pixie Cottage blog and check out what the rest of the design team has created using these colors as their inspiration!!  They are all awesome!!

You really need to check out the store too as Michelle has been and will be getting some new stamps and OMGosh....are they ever cute cute cute!!

Also Michelle has a super blog candy to giveaway too!
There are great new stamps arriving in the store any day soon and she wants to know which is your favorite.

Just add the picture of the blog candy with a link and then leave a comment telling us which your favorite HERE and you could win your favorite!

When I find the perfect fibers I will punch holes in the corners with my Crop-A-Dile and make it into a wall hanger.  As of now...you just get to see it as is.

Copic Colors Used:

I am so happy with how this turned out and now hubby thinks I need to make one for each one of the granddaughters!!  I guess that means he liked it!!  LOL!!!

Phindy's Place is sponsoring the Copic Creations blog challenge for the 2nd half of January and the challenge is ethnic skin tone.  Okay... this is totally a first for me!!!  I used Phindy's images called sticky elbow and tried to create an Asian skin tone.  I used the same colors as Jamie Bova but I couldn't get mine to look like hers so I just played with it until I achieved a look that I thought was close!!

So....how did I do?  I just love this image and I really had a lot of fun coloring her!!

What Weekend

I seem to get more done during the week than I do on the weekends.  That must be because I'm a housewife and hubby is home on the weekends.  Usually I have my granddaughters on the weekends too!  This weekend I had my youngest granddaughter and she is just getting too fun.  She always says "Kiss" and then after you kiss her she says "I los (love) you"!!!  She just melts my heart!

On Friday I managed to get this card done using another one of the Fantasy Art stamps from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I am so loving these stamps!!  Here's the card I created............

I really love how she turned out and I love this yummy DP!!!  It matched my image perfectly!  You can' really see it but I used stickles on her and the flowers to add some bling.  I used my new MS heart boarder punch.  I colored her with my Copics and as promised.....I am including a picture of the colors that I used!!!

Copics used:

As you can probably tell, I use lots of colors when I color!!!  I just love color.

Thank you for visiting today and I hope to have more for you tomorrow but I have to take my granddaughter home and it's snowing!!!  Dang...why couldn't it just wait until I got home!!

Have a good one!!!

Flutter By Wednesday

WooHoo....it's Friday!  My son called me this morning and asked if I would take the baby for the weekend!  Dang....*giggle*!!!!  I'm planning a big surprise for my Mom and Dad that I'm going to post on my blog.  We'll see if they get it!!  More to come.

Okay, in the meantime I've found a new challenge blog that I absolutely love.  It is called Flutter By Wednesday's and for their challenges you have to have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your project.  I think that should be fairly easy for me to do.  This week is an open challenge and you can do anything as long as you have a butterfly, fairy or angel.

I decided that I would use one of my stamps from the ching-chou kuiks Fantasy Art Collection.  The stamp I used is called "Come Softly".  Wow....I love every single one of these stamps!!  You can find these at Sweet Pea Stamps.  Now for my card!

Isn't she just beautiful!?!  The sentiment is also from Sweet Pea Stamps and they come with the stamp plate sets.  Of course, you know me....I always have to have all of everything I love  They are wonderful!!

I have been reading so many blogs lately that actually take a picture of the Copics they use that I have decided to start doing it too.  I'm not sure anyone actually reads this thing but hey....I have it for my record now!!  LOL!!

Colors used:

I forgot to grab my E57 too!!!  Sheesh...not getting off to a very good start!!  LOL!!!

Thank you for visiting today and I hope too see you again real soon!!

Have a good one!!!

A Recipe Challenge

This week at Michelle Perkett Studio our challenge was based on a sketch.  This will be our very last challenge on the PCP group because starting next week we have our very own challenge blog!!!!  Now how fun is that!?!  For this challenge I have also incorporated a recipe challenge from Sketches! {by tamara}.  I am so happy that she has started her sketch blog back up!!  Some of you may recall that I was on her scrapbook DT some time ago and I loved working with her.  She is just the sweetest person!!  Okay...now on to my card!!

The image is called Daydream Fantasy and I absolutely love her!!  She is very detailed but that was the fun part!!  She is colored with Copics and glittered with Stickles.  The recipe was to use rub ons, bling and flowers.  Hey...that's an easy one for me!!  I used a Basic Grey rub on flourish and tore apart a Prima flower crystal for my bling.  I also used Prima mini roses for my flowers and used my MS vine punch.  The ribbon is by Offray and the hat pin is from Maya Road.  I also used a digital sentiment by VL Designs from The Stamping Boutique.   The DP is the new Basic Grey Origins and OMGosh, I love all of this line of paper!!!

I am really happy with how my card turned out and hope you enjoy it too!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again real soon!!!

Have a good one!!!

Time For the New Year Pixie Cottage Challenge

Wow...sorry I'm so late with my post.  Stupid headache!!!  I am so excited to start The Pixie Cottage challenges back up for the year!  We had a nice long break so that we could share time with our families and now IT'S BACK TO WORK!!!  LOL!!

This week Renata created this sketch for us to use as our inspiration.

Wow....great sketch but dang, did I ever struggle with it!!  I guess I couldn't get my little brain outside the box or maybe it was that long break we had!!  LOL!  I did many a layout and finally came up with something that I was happy with!!!

I used a soon to be release stamp from Sandra Hammer.  I just love the Hannah stamps and this one is no exception!!  Just a quick note to all of you who are Hannah lovers....they are coming out in smaller version!!  Be on the lookout for them and all of the soon to be released stamps HERE!  Personally, I am soooo excited!!  Okay, back to the task at hand!!  LOL!  I wanted something fun and funky for this stamp so I opted for some DP from Love Elsie.  I know, it's really old but it was perfect for this stamp!  And besides....who's more fun and funky than Elsie right!?!  The image was colored with Copics and I used some AC Playhouse chipboard hearts.  I used some stamp from My Sentiments Exactly for my word hearts and what's a Valentines Day card without stickles!?!  *wink*

I hope you can join us for our first challenge of the year and show us what you can do with Renata's awesome sketch!!!!  Make sure to check out The Pixie Cottage Blog to see the rest of the AWESOME design teams take on this fun sketch!!

A New Year A New Release

WOW...I have totally neglected my blog during the holidays.  Life got a little crazy and totally zapped my creativity but it's a New Year and no more YUCKY's allowed in my world!!!  LOL!

Well, it's time for a New Year's release at DZ Doodles!!  Diane has created these cute little box images that are totally awesome for creating 3D images.  I never would have thought about doing a 3D image except for Diane at DZ Doodles showed us this image that she had created 3D so, I decided that I just had to try it!!  Diane also showed us how to make dimensional dots out of chipboard.  Here's the card I created with this new box image.....

If you haven't tried using chipboard as dimensional dots.....you have got to try it!!!  It adds just the perfect amount of dimension.  Hey, and it's cheap too!!!

Make sure you head on over to the DZ Doodles blog so that you can check out the rest of the DT's cards and also see the rest of the new releases!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today and I hope that you have an AWESOME New Year!!!
