Today We Say Goodbye

The day has finally come to bid my dear sweet mother-in-law goodbye.  She will be so greatly missed and our lives will never be the same!  I could not have asked for a better MIL.  She always treated me as if I was her daughter instead of a DIL.  I'm really going to miss some of the silly things she would do.  Hold your loved one close this holiday season and let them know how much they mean to you!!  We love you Mom!!!!

My Therapy

Hi everyone!!  Today I'm going to show a card that I have been working on to keep my mind off the not so good stuff this week.  I have used Mo's "Hanging the Star" image and OMGosh...I just love this little cutie!  She almost looks like one of the Who's from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.  LOVE IT!!!  Here's my card....
Cute huh!?!  Of course she has been colored with Copics but on this one I also used some Prisma pencils on her hair.  For the star under my rose I covered it with red seed beads and then used some distress ink to darken where the white star showed through.  I have used my G45 Christmas Past paper pad and a MS holly punch.  The sentiment is from TLC Creations and they have the most awesome word art!!!

Copics used:
Skin - E000, E00, E13, E21 and R20
Jumper - R30, R32, R35, R37, R39
Star - Y32, Y35, Y38
Hair - E15, E17, E18

As you can see I went a little distress ink crazy.  I just love that stuff!  :)

I am also entering this card into the following challenges....

Cooking It Up With Katie - Layer Me A Red Christmas
The Pixie Cottage - Sparkle and Shine

Thank you for stopping by today!!!

Have a good one!

Wouldn't you just love to have this!?!  I know I sure would!!!  :)  Here's the card that I have created for round one - WOW (white on white)....

It's Winter at Phindy's Place

Hi everyone!!  Sorry I am late with my post this morning.  Life has been a little crazy.  As some of you already know my MIL passed away on Wednesday and it has been very difficult dealing with it along with the hustle and bustle of the holidays so I hope you will forgive me!

Our challenge at Phindy's Place today is "Winter".  Not too tough huh!?!  As a matter of fact we woke up to another inch of snow on the ground this morning.  It's looking like we're going to have another heavy snow year.  Oh...back on track!!!  :)  For this challenge I have used Phindy's new image called "Snow Glory".  This is a perfect image for this challenge.  Here's my card...
I have used the sketch from last weeks Friday Sketchers and just thought it was perfect for this image.  My ski's look like they clash but in reality they really don't.  I had to use my light box because it has been so dreary here lately.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will check out what the rest of the DT has created for this challenge.  Those girls have got some talent!!!  Hope to see you at Phindy's Place this week!!

Have a good one!!

Make sure you read to the very end as I am offering a prize here on my blog for everyone who leaves a comment.  Okay....I could be selfish and say that you have to follow me too but I won't do that although I would love it if you did!!!  :)  Okay...just a mini plug for me!  Okay, on to my project.  I have used this adorable stamp called "Starry Night"......
Isn't this just the cutest!?!  I have stamped my image onto this little onesie and then colored it with my Copics.  I have used some puffy paint on the fur of the hat and the ear muffs.  I have also used some Viva Decor Glitter Gel for the snow and it looks so awesome!  It took me forever to gather up the nerve to actually put stamp to material!!  I was having some serious anxiety attacks!!!  LOL!!

I have had a few of you ask if it is washable and yes....it should be washable.  I'm going to wash it today to see if the ink runs at all.  I used Memento ink to stamp my image and then used my iron (set to cotton) and heat set it.  I did handwash another onesie that I had heatset and the ink stayed on.  From what I've heard the Copics are washable and the 3D gel was washable too.  I'll let you know after I wash it!!  :)  OMGosh...now I'm holding my breath again!!!  :)

So...what do you think!?!  Leave me a comment and I will give the winner a $10 gift certificate to Phindy's Place!!
Phindy has some really awesome digi images!!  I will have my hubby draw a name from the hat for the winner and it will be posted here on Tuesday December 7th so check back because you don't want to miss out if your the winner do you!?!  :)

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have enjoyed our Holiday Blog Hop!!!

**UPDATE**
After washing I did have some color fading on my onesie and I guess you have to use cotton socks (my DIL couldn't find any) because I had some serious yellow bleeding on them.  Everything else stayed put.  For no longer than what they are in them I think it will hold up.

This is stamped with Memento ink and then heat set.
I should have set up my photo box because our day is so gloomy here today that the lighting on this picture isn't the greatest.

Have a good one!!

Its a Frugal Freebie at Phindy's Place

Hi everyone!  It's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place and this week we would like for you to use one of those many FABULOUS freebies that Phindy has so graciously given us.  If you don't have one you can always join our group at PCP and grab one.

For this challenge I have used the image "Join the Party" and have turned it into a Christmas image.  Well....kinda!!  Here's my card for this challenge....
I really had some mojo issues when I completed this card so of course...I don't care for it.  It feels to busy to me but I love this adorable image!!

I have used some of my Tonertex glitter around the glass and used one of my new ticket sentiments from Whimsy Stamps and I heat embossed it.

Thank you for stopping by today and make sure you hop on over to Phindy's Place and see what the rest of the DT has done with this challenge.  Great inspiration!!  Hope to see you for our new challenge at Phindy's Place!!!

Have a good one!!  :)

Hi everyone!!  I'm so happy that you have stopped by today.  You all don't know how much you mean to me!!  Well, it's time for a new challenge over at the Simply Scrapping Crafts Copic Challenge Corner.  I just love new challenge time!  :)  This month we are going to playing for fun as a lot of people are so busy in December and we don't want any of you to be stressed out.  So, if you can play along awesome (we love seeing your creations) and if you can't its not a big deal.  :)  Our challenge this week will help you finish up those last minute Christmas cards.  We challenge you to color with Red and Green.  For my card I have used this adorable Christmas cutie from Phindy's Place called "Downhill from Here".  For some reason I had a really hard time putting this card together but it finally worked out in the end!  Whew....I was starting to stress there for awhile!!  Thank goodness for a huge stash of embellies!!  :)  Here's my card....
I think this image is perfect for those From our House to Yours cards.  It's just too cute!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my card today.  We would really love it if you would join us at Copic Challenge Corner on Simply Scrapping Crafts.

Have a good one!!!
