Thank You Thank You Thank You

Hi everyone!!  As you are reading this I am preparing to leave for our vacation on the Oregon coast.  I am so excited beings I haven't been on a vacation since I was a little girl!!  Hubby is going to go deep sea fishing and he's pretty excited about that too.  Not this girl....I have been a motion sicky since I was young.  Doesn't even sound fun to me!  :P  I will check in with you all when I get back on the 3rd of October.

Our challenge this week at Phindy's Place is.......you guessed it, Thank You's.  I had lots of fun working on this card even though my creativity left for vacation a little early!!  Ugh!  For my card I have used the image "Just Hanging Around" and I just love this little guy.  Kinda takes me back to my younger years playing in the huge maple trees at my grandma and grandpa's house.  I just love the wonderful childhood memories that Phindy's "Summer Cuties" have brought back.  Oh to be a child again!!!  Here's the card that I created for this challenge....
Isn't he just so carefree!?!

Hop on over to the Phindy's Place Challenge Blog to check out the awesomeness that the rest of the DT have for you.  WOW WOW WOW!!!!

Hi everyone!!  Welcome to the Phindy's Place Christmas/Winter Cuties release blog hop and also the regular Friday challenge featuring OWH!!  Wow....lots going on at Phindy's Place today and we are so excited that you have decided to hop along with us!!!  I am going to show you my blog hop cards first because I know that you are dying to see the first set of Cuties that are available at Phindy's Place.  Make sure you collect the "Phrase" words along the way but guess what?  I'm going to make you read the entire post to find my word!!  LOL!!

Here are my 2 Christmas Cuties..............

This first one is called "First Chrismas".
CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!!  This would also be good for a brand new Christmas baby card.  I felt this one was very appropriate beings we just got a new granddaughter in August.  LOVE IT!!!

My second card is called "Bear Hug".
OMG....I totally love this adorable little girl!!!!

Here is the card that I have created for the OWH challenge and I have used the image called "Christmas Colt".
It was really hard to keep myself from really embellishing this up but I think it looks really pretty leaving it plain.  I couldn't even make a Merry Christmas sentiment look right.

Okay now on to what you have been waiting for............

Your first word for the blog hop is "Phindy's" and from here you will visit Ann English's AWESOME blog and I'm sure she has some awesomeness to show you and also another word!!  :)

If you get lost along the way you can find the complete list on the Phindy's Place Challenge Blog so you can pick up where you left off.  Remember 1 lucky person who leaves a comment on the chosen blog will be a winner and also don't forget to collect your words along the way and leave your link on the Challenge Blog.

Goin' Green at Phindy's Place

Hi everyone!!  The homeschooling process has begun.  We have completed our 1st week and things are going well.  My only problem is not knowing how to teach her comprehension.  The whole thing just makes me sad!!  Anyway, enough of my craziness.  You all came here to see some inspiration not hear me babble about homeschooling!  :)

Our challenge this week at Phindy's Place is "Going Green".  Yep...we want to see some green and/or recycled items on your project.  For my card I have used both forms of green!!!  I have added green to my card and I have also recycled cardboard in using it for my background and also punching my flowers out of the part that I peeled off.  I added some acrylic paint to my flowers and then sprinkled a little DecoArt Glamour Dust on them while the paint was still wet.  It looks really pretty in real life.  Okay, on to my card............
I have used the image "Twick or Tweet" from Phindy's Place.  Isn't she just darling!?!  Don't forget that you have until September 14th to get in on the sale at Phindy's Place of buy 3 get 1 free.  Pretty cool huh!?!  I just know you want this image!!!!  LOL!!

Piecing it at Phindy's

Hi everyone!!  It's that time again.  Yep another week has gone by already and it's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place.  This week we challenge you to do paper piecing on your Phindy image.

Here's the card I have created for this challenge...
I have used the image "Flower Top Fairy - Daffodil" and you can't really tell by the picture buy I have created a 3D look with this image.  When I got started I had to question my sanity for a bit.  I have like 3 different layers on the flower, a couple on her arm and of course her dress is paper pieced.  Whew....lots of work but I wanted this card to be extra special because I was creating it for my online friend Danni from Flutterby Wednesday's.  Saturday is her birthday and I just wanted to make her something special.  I sure hope she likes it!!

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21 and R20
Flower and Dress - Y11, Y15, Y17 and YR18
Shoes - BG72, BG75
For her wings I used the YR18 and BG72 and did tip to tip with my colorless blender.  I also used my DecoArt Glamour Dust on her wings and the center of the daffodil.

I have created my flower with a strip of paper and my MS edge punch.  This is a new technique that I just learned and I have to say that I am LOVING it!!!

Thank you for stopping by today and hope you will join us at Phindy's Place for our "Paper Piecing" challenge this week and check out the rest of the DT creations!!  They are all fabulous!

Have a good one!!!

Catch Up

Good morning everyone!!  Well, today I'm going to do a little bloggy catchup!!  :)  I'm really terrible about getting my cards posted on my blog when I do them for different message board challenges!  It's a lot easier to just pull the picture off my computer and not have to worry about writing anything.  I really envy the bloggers that are able to use words so elaborately along with a sense of humor.  Hmmmmm....just not my thing I guess!!!

I have a few cards to show you that I have done for challenges at the Color Me Copic Copic Challenge Group and also Simply Scrapping Crafts where you will find tons of fun and awesome challenges!!!

Now, on to the artwork!!  :)

This first card was created with a digi image from Sweet and Sassy stamps called "June Rose" and I have decided that I'm going to give this card to my Mom for her birthday!!  Now I just have to figure out how to mail it without it being completely destroyed!!
I
Isn't this just a beautiful rose!?!  You can also get it in a stamp set with some beautiful sentiments.

The next card up is with a digi stamp from Elisabeth Bell Digi's called "Rachel, Little Angel" and I just love her!!!

This next card is created with a new technique that I just learned called Spotlighting and I just LOVE the look of it!!!  Just one of many tutorials on SSC!!!  For this one I have used one of my rubber stamps from Unity.  It came in one of my kits but I don't know the name of it!!  Sorry!!

Isn't this just the coolest looking technique!?!  Hubby said it looks like a magnifying glass.  Ahem....did you notice that I have a new photo tent!?!  :)  WOW....I love that thing and you can find the one I got for a great price on Ebay!!!  Now I just need to work on my photography skills!!  Eek!

My last card for you today is using a stamp from Sugar Nellie called "Tiny Tiddler".  OMG...I just love the Home Grown Manga stamps from Sugar Nellie.  I want them all!!!!
Don't you just love her?!  I also used a sentiment by Raindrop Echo Designs that you can purchase from Whimsy Stamps.  It just fit this image perfectly!!!  For this image I have used some hemp to create the line on her fishing pole and it looks so cute IRL!!!  Photo's just can't show detail!!

Hope I haven't bored you today!!  :)  Thank you for stopping by and make sure you come back tomorrow for a new challenge from Phindy's Place!!!

Have a good one!!!!
