A Christmas/Winter Cuties Release Blog Hop and OWH

Hi everyone!!  Welcome to the Phindy's Place Christmas/Winter Cuties release blog hop and also the regular Friday challenge featuring OWH!!  Wow....lots going on at Phindy's Place today and we are so excited that you have decided to hop along with us!!!  I am going to show you my blog hop cards first because I know that you are dying to see the first set of Cuties that are available at Phindy's Place.  Make sure you collect the "Phrase" words along the way but guess what?  I'm going to make you read the entire post to find my word!!  LOL!!

Here are my 2 Christmas Cuties..............

This first one is called "First Chrismas".
CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!!  This would also be good for a brand new Christmas baby card.  I felt this one was very appropriate beings we just got a new granddaughter in August.  LOVE IT!!!

My second card is called "Bear Hug".
OMG....I totally love this adorable little girl!!!!

Here is the card that I have created for the OWH challenge and I have used the image called "Christmas Colt".
It was really hard to keep myself from really embellishing this up but I think it looks really pretty leaving it plain.  I couldn't even make a Merry Christmas sentiment look right.

Okay now on to what you have been waiting for............

Your first word for the blog hop is "Phindy's" and from here you will visit Ann English's AWESOME blog and I'm sure she has some awesomeness to show you and also another word!!  :)

If you get lost along the way you can find the complete list on the Phindy's Place Challenge Blog so you can pick up where you left off.  Remember 1 lucky person who leaves a comment on the chosen blog will be a winner and also don't forget to collect your words along the way and leave your link on the Challenge Blog.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will join us for our Operation Write Home challenge this week.  Lets support our service men and women who serve so selflessly!!!

Have a good one!!!

Goin' Green at Phindy's Place

Hi everyone!!  The homeschooling process has begun.  We have completed our 1st week and things are going well.  My only problem is not knowing how to teach her comprehension.  The whole thing just makes me sad!!  Anyway, enough of my craziness.  You all came here to see some inspiration not hear me babble about homeschooling!  :)

Our challenge this week at Phindy's Place is "Going Green".  Yep...we want to see some green and/or recycled items on your project.  For my card I have used both forms of green!!!  I have added green to my card and I have also recycled cardboard in using it for my background and also punching my flowers out of the part that I peeled off.  I added some acrylic paint to my flowers and then sprinkled a little DecoArt Glamour Dust on them while the paint was still wet.  It looks really pretty in real life.  Okay, on to my card............
I have used the image "Twick or Tweet" from Phindy's Place.  Isn't she just darling!?!  Don't forget that you have until September 14th to get in on the sale at Phindy's Place of buy 3 get 1 free.  Pretty cool huh!?!  I just know you want this image!!!!  LOL!!

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21 and R20
Tutu - RV000, RV02, RV06 and YG11, YG13, YG17
Hair - E25, E31, E50

Piecing it at Phindy's

Hi everyone!!  It's that time again.  Yep another week has gone by already and it's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place.  This week we challenge you to do paper piecing on your Phindy image.

Here's the card I have created for this challenge...
I have used the image "Flower Top Fairy - Daffodil" and you can't really tell by the picture buy I have created a 3D look with this image.  When I got started I had to question my sanity for a bit.  I have like 3 different layers on the flower, a couple on her arm and of course her dress is paper pieced.  Whew....lots of work but I wanted this card to be extra special because I was creating it for my online friend Danni from Flutterby Wednesday's.  Saturday is her birthday and I just wanted to make her something special.  I sure hope she likes it!!

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21 and R20
Flower and Dress - Y11, Y15, Y17 and YR18
Shoes - BG72, BG75
For her wings I used the YR18 and BG72 and did tip to tip with my colorless blender.  I also used my DecoArt Glamour Dust on her wings and the center of the daffodil.

I have created my flower with a strip of paper and my MS edge punch.  This is a new technique that I just learned and I have to say that I am LOVING it!!!

Thank you for stopping by today and hope you will join us at Phindy's Place for our "Paper Piecing" challenge this week and check out the rest of the DT creations!!  They are all fabulous!

Have a good one!!!

Jingles Bells and Bears

Hey everyone!!  Okay...another week is gone and OMG, I can't believe that it's only 4 months till Christmas!!  Eek!!!  This week our challenge at Phindy's Place is Christmas in Summer.  Dang...as if it wasn't coming fast enough!!  LOL  Honestly, it was kind of fun coloring a Christmas image and creating a Christmas card.  :)

I have created this card using the AWESOME "Jingle Bear" image...
Isn't this image wonderful!?!  I just love the gentleness of it.

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E11, E21 and R20
Coat - R30, R32, R35, R37, R39
Scarf and Tights- YG95, YG97, YG99
Boots and Hair - E50, E55, E57, E59
Bear - W00, W2, W4 and E51

I also used white Sparkly Fluff for her hat and the cuffs of her coat.  I used Platinum Stickles on the jingle bells.

DP is from Kaisercraft which I also used to make my roses.  I used some DecoArt Glamour Dust on my roses.  The branches are done with my Martha Stewart punch.  Sentiment is from a Christmas set from Making Memories called Fa La La.  My stick pin is from Maya Road and I have colored it with my Copics.

Make sure you stop by Phindy's Place and see what the rest of the DT has created.  They are all FABULOUS!!!  Remember....if you play along with Phindy's Place you must use a Phindy's Place image.  There are ton's of AWESOME images!!!

OWH Midweek Throwdown

Hi everyone!!  I was so thrilled when I received an email from Jan asking me if I could create a couple of cards for the Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown Challange.  What an honor to be asked to create cards for such a wonderful cause!!  When I found out that Michelle Perkett Studio was the sponsor of this challenge I was so excited!!!  Michelle has the most AWESOME fantasy digital images and you can also find some of her fabulous images in stamp form.

For this challenge I was provided with a couple of Michelle's images (which BTW I already owned.  LOL!!) to give you a little inspiration.  Here are the two cards that I created using these fabulous images.....

I just love both of these images and both cards are a little different than my style but I loved how they turned out!!!  You know me....I'm a total glitter girl!   I'm sorry that I don't have my Copic colors for you today but I forgot to write them down and it has been too long ago since I completed them that I can't remember!!

I am honored to present your inspiration cards for this week and I hope you will join in the Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown because it is for such a great cause!!!!

God bless our military men and women for their unselfish service to our country!!!!  We love each and every one of you!!

Thank you for stopping by today and I would love to see what you do with Michelle's fabulous images for the Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown Challenge!!!

Have a good one!!!

Elisabeth Bell DT Call

Hi everyone!!  I can't believe that I almost forgot about the DT call for Elisabeth Bell's Digi's.  After my computer virus and our new little addition my brain was a little numb.  I happened to see a post about it and just about died.  OMGosh....please don't let it be over!!  I think I had a few hours to spare!!  Whew!!!

Here's the card that I submitted for the DT call using Elisabeth Bell's "I Love You This Much"....
My picture looks a little washed out but we have been cloudy all day today.  The colors are actually a little more vibrant IRL!!  I would love to design for Elisabeth Bell but oh my....you should see all of the beautiful creations submitted!!  I'm sure I don't have a chance but it was fun trying!!!

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E11, E21 and R20
Pants and shirt - BG72, BG75, BG78 and YR000, YR12, YR15, YR18 and R02, R05, R08
Hair - E50, E53, E55, E57
Grass - G20, YG63, YG67

DP is from DCWV and I just love this pad of paper.  Yummy colors!!!!  I have also used Scribbles 3D paint on her jacket.

I am also going to enter this card into the following challenges...

Flutterby Wednesdays - Open
Color Me Creative Classroom's Copic Challenge - Grass

Thank you for stopping by today!!

Have a good one!!!

Pretty In Pink

Happy Friday the 13th!!  :)  Are you superstitious?  I'm not for the most part!!  This week at Phindy's Place our challenge is "Pretty in Pink".  My absolute favorite color to play with.  I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I have 5 granddaughters!  :)

Here's what I came up with for this challenge...
This is one of Phindy's new images called "Sleepy Bug" and I just love love love her!!  Phindy has really rocked it with the "Summer Cuties" this summer.  I'm really looking forward to her maybe doing some winter and Christmas cuties!!  LOL...maybe if we beg!  Isn't she  just darling!?!

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E11, E21 and R20
Dress - R81, R83, R85, R89
Pants - RV91, RV93, RV95, RV97
Hair - E15, E17, E18
Pull toy - YG97, YG99 and R85

I found this BoBunney DP that matched my image perfectly!!!  Honestly, I was quite amazed because I was afraid that I was going to end up using just cardstock.  I used some hemp and a silver spacer for her pull toy.

I used a sketch from The Sweet Stop for my inspiration.

Make sure you stop by and check out what the rest of the DT has done with this super fun challenge!!

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you at Phindy's Place for our "Pretty in Pink" challenge!!!

I am also entering this into the following challenge...
Cooking it up with Katie - Make a flowery pink square

Have a good one!!

Hoping For A Birth Day!

Hi!!!  Damn....what a week I have had.  On Tuesday morning I woke up about 4:15AM, turned on my computer and all hell broke loose!!!!  OMG, I HAVE A VIRUS!!!!!!  It locked me out of all of my files, wouldn't open the internet for me but kept trying to randomly connect to porn sites!  WTH was that all about!?!  My hubby was very quick to tell me that he has never gone onto any sites like that.  LOL!!!!  I know he hasn't because he knows I know how to check!!  TeeHee!!!  Anyway....3 days later and $90 shorter I am back up and running.  Just what good is anti-virus software anyway!?!  Enough on my rant!!  :)  My title is "hoping for a birth day" and for good reason.  Well, actually two!  My DIL went to the doctor today and she is dilated to 4cm.  I talked to my son tonight and Ashley is feeling pressure in her tummy and when she moves her back hurts.  I just knew that she would do this thing in the middle of the night again!!!!  :O  Maybe we'll luck out and our new baby girl will wait until morning to show her beautiful little face but I'm not going to hold my breath!!!!  So...if I go MIA again, I either have a new grandbaby or my computer puked again!!!  :)  Eek....I can't believe I said that last part!!!!

Okay, reason #2 is that our challenge this week at Phindy's Place is Birthdays!!!!  How appropriate huh!?!  And this week we have our very first guest designer, Cec and she never fails to pump out some fabulous cards.  Make sure you stop by her blog and leave her some love!!   Here's the card that I created for this challenge...
Well, nothing like a computer virus to zap the mojo!!  I have used the adorable image called "Gifted Girl" and she just has the cutest dang look on her face!!!

Copics Used:
Hair - E18, E57, E59
Dress - RV000, RV02, RV06 and Y000, Y15, Y17
Skin - E000, E11, E21 and R20
Gift - V01, V05, V06, V09

The picture makes the ribbon look like it clashes but in fact it matches perfectly.  CRAZY!!!

Thank you for stopping by today and hope you will stop by Phindy's Place and check out the details of our challenge and also see the inspiration from the rest of the DT!!

Hope to see you at Phindy's Place for our Birthday Challenge!!!

Have a good one!!!

For The Birds!?!

Hi everyone!!  It's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place and this week we are challenging you to put stitching (real or faux) on your Phindy card!!!  I would like to remind you all that you must use a Phindy's Place image on your challenge card.  If you don't have one....join us on the PaperCraftPlanet group and you can grab a freebie or you can always buy one from  the Phindy's Place store.  OMG.....if nothing else you have got to check out the FABULOUS images there.  The "Summer Cuties" are just too much fun and if you follow my blog you have seen a few of them but in the last few days Phindy has added some ADORABLE little boy cuties!!

For my challenge card I have used one of the new Mr. Brown images called "Mr. Brown's Hobby".  I loved this image when I saw it.  Hmmmm....wonder if it because of my love for birds!?!  :)

Here's my card....

I'm not overly thrilled with this card.  For some reason I have a really hard time with male gender cards!!  HTH do you embellish them!?!  :)  My image is colored with Copics and I'm sorry but I used so many different colors that I can't remember them all.  Here lately I've been pretty good at knowing what colors I used without writing them down.  Eek....does that mean I'm addicted!?!  LOL!!  I have also used the Friday Sketchers sketch from last week to give me a little motivation.  Didn't seem to work though.  Oh well!!  MayCee always tells me that...You Get What You Get And You Don't Throw A Fit!!!  :)

I'm thinking about putting a sentiment on the inside that says.....After all, Birthdays are for the Birds!!  Stupid huh!?!

Thank you for stopping by today and make sure you check out the details for the challenge and the rest of the design teams amazing cards.  I'm sure they won't fail to inspire!  Hope to see you at Phindy's Friday Challenge!!!

Have a good one!!!

Feeling Blue At Phindy's

Hi everyone!!  Yep, it's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place!!  Our challenge this week is Feeling Blue.  Betcha you can guess what we want to see!!!  :)  Show us your best blue!!

For my card I have used another of Phindy's "Summer Cuties".  This one is called "Patience" and she is just perfect for a blue challenge!!  Here's my card............
Isn't she adorable!?!  I just love every single one of these images.

Copics Used:
Skin - E13, 11, 00, R20
Dress - B02, 04, 06
Hair - E15, 17, 18
Water Can - C1, 2, 4, 7
Grass - G20, YG63, 67
Flower - Y11, 15, 17

I have also used a Viva glitter liner and Copic Opaque White (omg...I love this stuff!).  I also used Copics to color my clear Heidi Swapp flower and then used my blender solution on a paper towel.  It looks so much prettier in real life.  I have used a Prima flower center for my flower.  My DP is from Jennie Bowlin.  My sentiment stamp is from MSE.

For this card I have used last weeks sketch at The Pixie Cottage.  I couldn't enter the challenge because it ended on Wednesday but I loved the sketch anyway!!!  They have some FABULOUS sketches every week at The Pixie Cottage!!!

I am also entering this card into the Stamp Something challenge this week.  Go digital and Phindy's Place is one of the sponsors!!  Better hop on over there!!!  :)

Thank you for stopping by today and I really hope to see you at the Phindy's Place challenge this week!!

Have a good one!!!

A Little of This and A Little of That

Hi everyone!!  I know that I have been MIA here lately but I have been so busy that it just kinda zapped my mojo.  I have done some relaxing in the evening by coloring when I can but just no mojo to create the cards!!!  Well....today my hubby had to work so I took the day for myself and managed to muster up some mojo!!  I have created a couple of cards today.  One using one of Mo's images for the Friday Sketchers Challenge and another using an awesome male image from Pollycraft Designs using the Pollycraft Monday Challenge sketch!!

First is the card using the Pollycraft Designs image "Maurice - Caught One".  Honestly....I had to buy all of them because I have had a lot of people asking me for cards for men lately and I think these images are FABULOUS!!!  For my card I have used the challenge at Pollycraft Designs which is a sketch this week.  It worked out perfectly for my card!!
Isn't this just the most FABULOUS image!?!  Check out the Pollycraft Designs challenge blog for this awesome sketch!!!

Picked as a Pollycraft Favorite

My second card is using a Mo's Digital Pencil Too called "Mother To Be 1".  When I first bought this stamp I had every intention of using it to make a card for my DIL but beings she's due in about 4 weeks I think it's a little late to say congratulations, huh!?!  Oh well....I still love this image and maybe I can use it someday!!!
I really enjoyed creating this card and have used the new Friday Sketchers sketch for this one.  Hey...I needed all the mojo help I could get!  :)  Oh...whats that I see...another handmade rose!?!  Okay, I'm hopelessly addicted to them!!  LOL!!

And here are a couple of cards that I created a couple of weeks ago when I was getting ready for our Saturday Market here in town.  For these two cards I have used a couple of Karen's Doodles images and OMGosh...does she ever have some cute ones.  I have a wedding couple that I colored but ran out of mojo today before I got it put into a card that is just a FABULOUS image.  Be on the lookout for that one in the hopefully near future!!!  Here's my cards.....
Super fun images huh!?!  I really enjoyed creating both of these cards and the top one was actually done for the Karen's Doodles challenge blog a couple of weeks ago but my blogger was having issues and I couldn't post it.  Oh well....you get to see it now!!!

Wow...sorry if I have overwhelmed you a bit today but thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to get on a more regular posting schedule!!  You all have no idea how much you mean to me!!

Have a good one!!!

An Embossing Challenge

Hi!!!  It's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place and this week our challenge is Embossing.  You can do dry and/or heat embossing.  I really love embossing using both methods but for this challenge I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder.  I just love that thing!!!

Here's the card that I created using one of the new Summer Cuties called "Bye Bye Butterfly" and she is just darling!!!
I just love this adorable image!  She was just too much fun to color.  She has been colored with Copics and once again....I made my rose in the center of my flower.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope that you will join us this week at Phindy's Place and show us your take on our challenge!!

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Flutterby Wednesday - Anything goes as long as there's a butterfly, Angel or fairy.
SSCC - Use the colors red and/or blue.
By The Cute and Girly - Warm Summer Days.
Ooh La La Creations - Simply Summer.

Have a good one!!!

A Red White and Blue Phindy Friday

Hi everyone!!  Wow....seems like it's been forever since I last posted!  Sheesh, life has been totally crazy here lately and I'm ready for my house to be finished.  Hubby and I might just kill each other before this is over!!!  :)  I'm just kidding but things can get pretty ugly!

Okay....enough chatter!!  This week our challenge at Phindy's Place is to use Red White and Blue.  I really love coloring with those 3 colors but for the life of me I have been unable to locate the red white and blue DP that I know I have somewhere!!  Talk about having a tizzy fit!!!  :)

Here's the card that I created using Phindy's "Something Sweet" and OMG is she ever a sweetie!!!
See....isn't she just the sweetest thing ever!?!  My image is colored with Copics and you are not going to believe this but I have actually made my own roses!!  WOW, talk about too much fun!!!  I really love how they turned out!  My sentiment is a stamp from Unity Stamp Co. and it was just perfect for this image, don't you think!?!

Thank you for stopping by today and I really hope you will show us your favorite Phindy image done is Red White and Blue!!!  Look forward to seeing you at Phindy's Place!!!

Here's the card that I created using Phindy's new "Splashy Sienna"..............
OMG....I can't tell you how much fun I had coloring this adorable image!!!  She is colored with Copics and I have also used my Viva Glitter Liner to do the water.  My DP is another really old one from AMM (All My Memories)!!!  Do y'all remember that line?  :)  Again, I lucked out and found DP that seemed to match perfectly with my image!!!!  Isn't she just darling!?!  Do you ever have one of those days when everything just seemed to click?  This was definitely that day!!!!  Even my coloring just seemed to work!!!!

This is my second post of the day.  Scroll down to see the Tiddly Inks post!!!  :)

Hi everyone!!  It's time for a new challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio and this week we are giving you the 3P's challenge!!  :)  Did you say what!?! :P  This is the challenge for this week.........

3P's

3 Different Papers (designer and or cardstock)
3 Pearls
3 Elements that have a color that starts with P (can be different colors as long as it starts with P)

And of course you have to use a Michelle Perkett Studio image.

For this challenge I have used the absolutely adorable "Penny" image.
Isn't she just too cute!?!  Of course you can tell what my P's colors are huh!?!  :)

The image is colored with Copics.
DP is from DoodleBug
My 3 elements are.....purple ribbon, pink and purple flowers and purple magic mesh (it was actually white but after I took my ink pad to it it matched perfectly and started with a P).
I have left the sentiment off for now because I can't decide what I want to use this card for.  I think it would be a perfect little birthday card for Kaiya who will be 2 in August.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will stop by Michelle Perkett Studio and see the awesome creations from the DT.  WOW....they just never cease to amaze me!!  We would love to have you all join us as well!!!!

A Tiddly Inks Baby Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and this week we would like to see baby cards.  OMGosh....Christy has some of the cutest Baby Inks images!!!

Here's my card using "Carry Me To The Moon" and I absolutely love it!!!
Don't ya just love it!?!  I have no idea why I decided to do a baby boy card beings I have a new baby girl (granddaughter) on the way.  Dang....I guess I'll just have to make another one!!!  :)  For this image I have used my Copics to color and then I have used my Viva Glitter Liner and also some Sparkly Fluff on the baby carriage.  I went really light on the Sparkly Fluff because I just wanted a little bit of texture and I wanted my color to show through.  My DP is some REALLY OLD paper from Chatterbox.  Hey, I never had a reason to do a little boy card so it just kinda got pushed to the bottom of the pile!!  :P  How I managed to find that adorable little heart button I have not a clue.  God must have been watching out for me because it was sitting right on top in my button can!!  AMAZING how some things just fall into place!  I have also used my Zutter's Distrezz-It-All.  OMG....I love that thing!!!!!!

I have also used this weeks Friday Sketchers sketch so will also be entering that challenge with this card.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and make sure you check out what the rest of the DT has created with this Baby Card Challenge.  I'm sure they will all be wonderful.

Hope to see you at Tiddly Inks!!!!

Have a good one!!!

Birthday Wishes At Phindy's Place

Hi everyone!!  It's finally Friday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place.  This week we would like to see your birthday cards using one of Phindy's images.

For my card I have used the adorable little image called "Flower Wagon".
I can't believe that I have had this image for a long time and have never used it before.  OMGosh...I just love her!!  My image is colored with Copics and I have used DP from October Afternoon.

I hope you will join us for our challenge this week at Phindy's Place and show us your birthday cards.  Make sure you stop by Phindy's Challenge Blog and see the beautiful cards that the rest of the DT has created.  WOW...they never fail to amaze!!!

Thank you for stopping by today and hope to see you at Phindy's Place!!!

Have a good one!!
