For The Birds!?!

Hi everyone!!  It's time for a new challenge at Phindy's Place and this week we are challenging you to put stitching (real or faux) on your Phindy card!!!  I would like to remind you all that you must use a Phindy's Place image on your challenge card.  If you don't have one....join us on the PaperCraftPlanet group and you can grab a freebie or you can always buy one from  the Phindy's Place store.  OMG.....if nothing else you have got to check out the FABULOUS images there.  The "Summer Cuties" are just too much fun and if you follow my blog you have seen a few of them but in the last few days Phindy has added some ADORABLE little boy cuties!!

For my challenge card I have used one of the new Mr. Brown images called "Mr. Brown's Hobby".  I loved this image when I saw it.  Hmmmm....wonder if it because of my love for birds!?!  :)

Here's my card....

I'm not overly thrilled with this card.  For some reason I have a really hard time with male gender cards!!  HTH do you embellish them!?!  :)  My image is colored with Copics and I'm sorry but I used so many different colors that I can't remember them all.  Here lately I've been pretty good at knowing what colors I used without writing them down.  Eek....does that mean I'm addicted!?!  LOL!!  I have also used the Friday Sketchers sketch from last week to give me a little motivation.  Didn't seem to work though.  Oh well!!  MayCee always tells me that...You Get What You Get And You Don't Throw A Fit!!!  :)

I'm thinking about putting a sentiment on the inside that says.....After all, Birthdays are for the Birds!!  Stupid huh!?!

Thank you for stopping by today and make sure you check out the details for the challenge and the rest of the design teams amazing cards.  I'm sure they won't fail to inspire!  Hope to see you at Phindy's Friday Challenge!!!

Have a good one!!!

I can't believe you're not happy with this - your card ROCKS Tammy! I know what you mean about embellshing masculine cards, but this is such a great image, with your colouring as well, this is a brilliant card.

Hi Tammy! Your card is just wonderful. I love the background colors you used, and of course, your coloring is perfect! Great stitching too ... I'm still working on getting my stitching straight, I don't think I'll attempt this - I 'd probably have a real mess on my hands! Great card! hugz, Mary

I think this is great-what don't you like about it?! Masculine cards don't lend themselves to flowers and ribbons! Love the stitching, too, my friend!

Well, I couldn't see any struggle in that card! It's simply gorgeous and the image just pops off the card with your gorgeous colouring!!!

Tammy you don't embellish them overly much and that's the trick. With your phenomenal coloring, the gorgeous papers and the free stitching, it's perfect. I love it!
